1. Korto Momolu was born in Liberia and immigrated with her
family to Canada in 1990 to escape the African nation’s
civil war. She studied fashion in Ontario before moving to
Arkansas, where she still lives with her husband and
daughter. First
On the season finale of Project Runway, Korto presented
her spring 2009 collection at Bryant Park during New York
Fashion Week and ultimately ended the season as 1st run- Runner
ner up. She was awarded the fan favorite prize. She also
Up and
appeared on the first Project Runway All-Stars.
Since then she has developed The Saba Collection- an
exclusive line of fashionable eco-friendly accessories, in
partnership with Madera Exotic Woods. Branching into fine
jewelry and keeping things eco friendly she also launched a Fan
line of fine jewelry called “Green Love” during her spring
2011 show at New York fashion week.

Magazine , Korto has been featured in many publications
and TV shows, Many celebrities has worn her styles, the
most recent being Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes. Korto
stands out as a designer who embraces color and diversity.
