Thursday, October 14th, 2010. This year’s reception was a celebration
of the 10th anniversary of the Minnesota Wild. Kick-off for the

ISSUE 11 • VOLUME 3 • NOVEMBER 2010
Movember is an annual charity event held during
November that encourages men to grow Mo’s
(slang for moustache) to raise awareness and
funds for cancers affecting men. Last season, Nick Schultz was one of the first NHL players to embrace the
cause after the father of a close friend developed prostate cancer. Movember benefits the Prostate
Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.
The Wild campaign, presented by Sun Country Airlines, started November 1st
. Wild players, and some
staff , are growing moustaches to help support the cause. The NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer program has
donated the first $5,000 to Movember’s Minnesota Wild Mo Bros team. Fans can purchase lower level or
Treasure Island Resort and Casino club level tickets to any Wild home game from Nov. 17-26 and the
team will donate $10 from each ticket to Movember AND enter each buyer into a drawing to win a travel voucher from Sun
Country Airlines. The Wild will also take cash donations at each November game.
In addition, the Wild has partnered with KARE11 to break a Guinness World Record at the Wild vs. Predators game on Nov. 26,
for the LARGEST GATHERING OF PEOPLE WITH MOUSTACHES. The current World Record of 151 “moustachioed men” was
established Nov. 28, 2009 by members and fans of the Partick Thistle Football Club in Glasgow, Scotland.
The Wild’s World Record attempt will be documented with a photo on the ice of all participants with a
real moustache immediately after the Nov. 26 game.

Minnesota Wild Fantasy Hockey
The Minnesota Wild held its first Fantasy Draft on October 19th
for
corporate partners with a love for fierce competition. Participants had
the chance to show off their hockey knowledge in a mock NHL style draft.
Each team consisted of two company representatives with 30 teams in
total, where they drafted their own line-up consisting of 12 players
throughout the NHL.
Fantasy Sports which is located in Canada, conducted the draft and
provided a light-hearted approach for our partners including a little
bantering between teams/companies. Full bragging rights will be
determined once the season has ended, along with a trophy for the
winning team. After the draft, participants attended the Wild game vs.
Vancouver where the Wild put on an impressive show defeating the
Canucks 6-2.
We encourage all teams to continue to check their standings and remain
active in the weekly updates . If you were unable to participate this year,
we hope to see you next year. It is a great opportunity to become more
involved in the hockey scene and to network with other corporate
partners of the Minnesota Wild. Good luck to all teams involved and may
the best team win!
Participants who have trouble logging in to the website or viewing their
information can contact Mackenzie Ludowese at 651-312-3497 or at
