8. Scene 2 Scene 2 takes place at the Capulet house. We learn that Juliet is only 13; and that the County Paris wants to marry her. LC wants Juliet to be at least 15 b/4 she marries; compromises he’ll have a big party and Paris can meet Juliet. IF he can impress her, then he can marry her later.
9. Scene 3 LdC, J, & her nurse are talking. Nurse had a daughter that died when the girl was young. Nurse is very crass. LdC tells J about Paris/marriage. J consents to “think about it.” 5EP?: Re-read lines 81-95. What literary technique does LdC use? Explain it.

LC tells T to leave them alone. R and J meet—R wants to kiss her. They don’t realize what family either of them comes from.
