2. Concept
Fourier series theory states that a periodic wave can be
represented as a summation of sinusoidal waves with
different frequencies, amplitudes and phase values.
The frequencies of the sinusoids are harmonically
related.
fk = k.fo
Where fo is the fundamental frequency and fk is the kth
harmonic.

1. Perform the following signal additions
a) u[n] + u[-n]
b) u[n+2] + u[n-2]
2. Perform the following signal subtractions
a) u[n] - u [n+5]
b) [1,2,3,4,5] - [5,4,3,2,1]
3. Multiply the following two signals
a) 2n x u[n]
4. Decompose the following signal into its even and odd parts
a) [1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1]
