24. Code Signing To distribute an application for use on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, Developers must first sign their applications. The signing process adds cryptographic hash values to the application package (BAR file) which help verify the authorship of the application to other users and the BlackBerry® Tablet OS. Developers need to request Code Singing Keys from RIM at: https://www.blackberry.com/SignedKeys/rimKeys.do.
