some tips on what you should do when writing a story

1. STORY CHECKLIST
Have I decided on the plot
line before starting writing
my story? Have I started the story with
an interesting beginning that
will attract the reader?
Is it all written in the right
tense? (past tenses: past
simple, past continuous or
past perfect?)
Am I using the same
words too much in my
story? What other words
could I use instead?
Have I finished my story in
an interesting way, e.g.
with direct speech,
rhetorical question,
expressing my feelings,
etc?
Have I read my story out
loud? Do I like it?
