1. Be Open - from being open to change; to letting go; to believing that
   your people have within them untapped resources that you are
   capable of freeing!
2. Understand Your People - it’s time to recognize that everyone in
   your team is different and all have the desire to do well. Then they
   will amaze you!
3. Recognize Possibilities - by taking the time to ‘notice’ more what is
   going on around you, you will start to recognize what’s possible and
   by whom.
4. Have Crystal Clear Outcomes - be very specific in your expectations
   (outputs and timescales especially) and communicate it well.
5. Provide Space - make sure that you are ready and available to
   support your people as you give them room to deliver your tasks,
   whilst letting them get on with it too.
6. Let Them Decide 'How' - give clear expectations and ground rules -
   and then let your people have their head in creating the ‘how’ to
   deliver.
7. Celebrate Success - praise and recognition will only ensure that you
   are able to get more from your people in the future – it nurtures the
   desire for more.
8. See Succession Planning Opportunities - you have capable people,
   who can do more. Where will they be able to slot in, in the future?
   What are the possibilities?

9. Leave No Task, No Opportunity or No-One Out of Scope - challenge
   yourself to omit no-one as possible candidates for delegation and
   the possibility that any activity could be delegated.

   progress?
