여 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 날을 사모하느
냐 그 날은 어둠이요 빛이 아니라
18. Woe to you who long for the day of the
LORD! Why do you long for the day of the
LORD ? That day will be darkness, not light.
19. 19. 마치 사람이 사자를 피하다가 곰을 만나
거나 혹은 집에 들어가서 손을 벽에 대었다가
뱀에게 물림 같도다
19. It will be as though a man fled from a
lion only to meet a bear, as though he
entered his house and rested his hand on the
wall only to have a snake bite him.
20. 20. 여호와의 날은 빛 없는 어둠이 아니며 빛
남 없는 캄캄함이 아니냐
20. Will not the day of the LORD be
darkness, not light-- pitch-dark, without a
ray of brightness?
21. 21. 내가 너희 절기들을 미워하여 멸시하며
너희 성회들을 기뻐하지 아니하나니
21. "I hate, I despise your religious feasts; I
cannot stand your assemblies.
22. 22. 너희가 내게 번제나 소제를 드릴지라도
내가 받지 아니할 것이요 너희의 살진 희생의
화목제도 내가 돌아보지 아니하리라
22. Even though you bring me burnt
offerings and grain offerings, I will not
accept them. Though you bring choice
fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for
them.
23. 23. 네 노랫소리를 내 앞에서 그칠지어다 네
비파 소리도 내가 듣지 아니하리라
23. Away with the noise of your songs! I will
not listen to the music of your harps.
24. 24. 오직 정의를 물 같이, 공의를 마르지 않는
강 같이 흐르게 할지어다
24. But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!
25. 25. 이스라엘 족속아 너희가 사십 년 동안 광
야에서 희생과 소제물을 내게 드렸느냐
25. "Did you bring me sacrifices and
offerings forty years in the desert, O house
of Israel?
26. 26. 너희가 너희 왕 식굿과 기윤과 너희 우상
들과 너희가 너희를 위하여 만든 신들의 별 형
상을 지고 가리라
26. You have lifted up the shrine of your
king, the pedestal of your idols, the star of
your god -- which you made for yourselves.
27. 27. 내가 너희를 다메섹 밖으로 사로잡혀 가
게 하리라 그의 이름이 만군의 하나님이라 불
리우는 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라
27. Therefore I will send you into exile
beyond Damascus," says the LORD, whose
name is God Almighty.
28. 6장 1. 화 있을진저 시온에서 교만한 자와 사
마리아 산에서 마음이 든든한 자 곧 백성들의
머리인 지도자들이여 이스라엘 집이 그들을
따르는도다
1. Woe to you who are complacent in Zion,
and to you who feel secure on Mount
Samaria, you notable men of the foremost
nation, to whom the people of Israel come!
29. 2. 너희는 갈레로 건너가 보고 거기에서 큰 하
맛으로 가고 또 블레셋 사람의 가드로 내려가
라 너희가 이 나라들보다 나으냐 그 영토가 너
희 영토보다 넓으냐
2. Go to Calneh and look at it; go from
there to great Hamath, and then go down to
Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than
your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than
yours?
30. 3. 너희는 흉한 날이 멀다 하여 포악한 자리로
가까워지게 하고
3. You put off the evil day and bring near a
reign of terror.
31. 4. 상아 상에 누우며 침상에서 기지개 켜며 양
떼에서 어린 양과 우리에서 송아지를 잡아서
먹고
4. You lie on beds inlaid with ivory and
lounge on your couches. You dine on choice
lambs and fattened calves.
32. 5. 비파 소리에 맞추어 노래를 지절거리며 다
윗처럼 자기를 위하여 악기를 제조하며
5. You strum away on your harps like David
and improvise on musical instruments.
33. 6. 대접으로 포도주를 마시며 귀한 기름을 몸
에 바르면서 요셉의 환난에 대하여는 근심하
지 아니하는 자로다
6. You drink wine by the bowlful and use the
finest lotions, but you do not grieve over the
ruin of Joseph.
34. 7. 그러므로 그들이 이제는 사로잡히는 자 중
에 앞서 사로잡히리니 기지개 켜는 자의 떠드
는 소리가 그치리라
7. Therefore you will be among the first to
go into exile; your feasting and lounging will
end.
35. 8. 만군의 하나님 여호와의 말씀이니라 주 여
호와가 당신을 두고 맹세하셨노라 내가 야곱
의 영광을 싫어하며 그 궁궐들을 미워하므로
이 성읍과 거기에 가득한 것을 원수에게 넘기
리라 하셨느니라
8. The Sovereign LORD has sworn by
himself--the LORD God Almighty declares: "I
abhor thepride of Jacob and detest his
fortresses; I will deliver up the city and
everything in it."
36. 9. 한 집에 열 사람이 남는다 하여도 다 죽을
것이라
9. If ten men are left in one house, they too
will die.
37. 10. 죽은 사람의 친척 곧 그 시체를 불사를 자
가 그 뼈를 집 밖으로 가져갈 때에 그 집 깊숙
한 곳에 있는 자에게 묻기를 아직 더 있느냐
하면 대답하기를 없다 하리니 그가 또 말하기
를 잠잠하라 우리가 여호와의 이름을 부르지
못할 것이라 하리라
10. And if a relative who is to burn the
bodies comes to carry them out of the house
and asks anyone still hiding there, "Is anyone
with you?" and he says, "No," then he will

11. For the LORD has given the command,
and he will smash the great house into

의를 쓸개로 바꾸며 공의의 열매를 쓴 쑥으로
바꾸며
12. Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does
one plow there with oxen? But you have
turnedjustice into poison and the fruit of
righteousness into bitterness-
40. 13. 허무한 것을 기뻐하며 이르기를 우리는
우리의 힘으로 뿔들을 취하지 아니하였느냐
하는도다
13. you who rejoice in the conquest of Lo
Debar and say, "Did we not take Karnaim by
our own strength?"
41. 14. 만군의 하나님 여호와의 말씀이니라 이스
라엘 족속아 내가 한 나라를 일으켜 너희를 치
리니 그들이 하맛 어귀에서부터 아라바 시내
까지 너희를 학대하리라 하셨느니라
14. For the LORD God Almighty declares, "I
will stir up a nation against you, O house of
Israel, that will oppress you all the way from
Lebo Hamath to the valley of the Arabah."
