2. 1. 그 후에 주께서 따로 칠십 인을 세우사 친히 가시려는 각 동네와 각 지역으로 둘씩 앞서 보내시며 1. After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
3. 2. 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일꾼이 적으니 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일꾼들을 보내 주소서 하라 2. He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
4. 3. 갈지어다 내가 너희를 보냄이 어린 양을 이리 가운데로 보냄과 같도다 3. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
5. 4. 전대나 배낭이나 신발을 가지지 말며 길에서 아무에게도 문안하지 말며 4. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
6. 5. 어느 집에 들어가든지 먼저 말하되 이 집이 평안할지어다 하라 5. "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.'
7. 6. 만일 평안을 받을 사람이 거기 있으면 너희의 평안이 그에게 머물 것이요 그렇지 않으면 너희에게로 돌아오리라 6. If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
8. 7. 그 집에 유하며 주는 것을 먹고 마시라 일꾼이 그 삯을 받는 것이 마땅하니라 이 집에서 저 집으로 옮기지 말라 7. Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
9. 8. 어느 동네에 들어가든지 너희를 영접하거든 너희 앞에 차려놓는 것을 먹고 8. "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you.
10. 9. 거기 있는 병자들을 고치고 또 말하기를 하나님의 나라가 너희에게 가까이 왔다 하라 9. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'
11. 10. 어느 동네에 들어가든지 너희를 영접하지 아니하거든 그 거리로 나와서 말하되 10. But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say,
12. 11. 너희 동네에서 우리 발에 묻은 먼지도 너희에게 떨어버리노라 그러나 하나님의 나라가 가까이 온 줄을 알라 하라 11. 'Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.'
13. 12. 내가 너희에게 말하노니 그 날에 소돔이 그 동네보다 견디기 쉬우리라 12. I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
14. 13. 화 있을진저 고라신아, 화 있을진저 벳새다야, 너희에게 행한 모든 권능을 두로와시돈에서 행하였더라면 그들이 벌써 베옷을 입고 재에 앉아 회개하였으리라 13. "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
15. 14. 심판 때에 두로와시돈이 너희보다 견디기 쉬우리라 14. But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.
16. 15. 가버나움아 네가 하늘에까지 높아지겠느냐 음부에까지 낮아지리라 15. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths.
17. 16. 너희 말을 듣는 자는 곧 내 말을 듣는 것이요 너희를 저버리는 자는 곧 나를 저버리는 것이요 나를 저버리는 자는 나 보내신 이를 저버리는 것이라 하시니라 16. "He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."
21. 45 예수께서 즉시 제자들을 재촉하사 자기가 무리를 보내는 동안에 배 타고 앞서 건너편 벳새다로 가게 하시고 45 Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.
22. 46 무리를 작별하신 후에 기도하러 산으로 가시니라 46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.
23. 47 저물매 배는 바다 가운데 있고 예수께서는 홀로 뭍에 계시다가 47 When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land.
25. 48 바람이 거스르므로 제자들이 힘겹게 노 젓는 것을 보시고 밤 사경쯤에 바다 위로 걸어서 그들에게 오사 지나가려고 하시매 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them,
26. 49 제자들이 그가 바다 위로 걸어 오심을 보고 유령인가 하여 소리 지르니 49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out,
27. 왜 괴로이 노 젓도록 하셨는가? 첫째, 훈련 둘째, 고난의 역풍과 싸워 승리하도록 셋째, 세계를 감당하기 위해 인간의 한계를 극복하도록 넷째, 의존심을 버리고 자기 한계성과 고난을 스스로 극복하도록

30. 50 그들이 다 예수를 보고 놀람이라 이에 예수께서 곧 그들에게 말씀하여 이르시되 안심하라 내니 두려워하지 말라 하시고 50 because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
31. 51 배에 올라 그들에게 가시니 바람이 그치는지라 제자들이 마음에 심히 놀라니 51 Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed,
32. 52 이는 그들이 그 떡 떼시던 일을 깨닫지 못하고 도리어 그 마음이 둔하여졌음이러라 52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.
33. 예수님을 본 제자들의 반응 첫째, 마음에 심히 놀람 둘째, 역사의식을 상실함 셋째, 미래를 바라보지 못함 넷째, 현실의 어려움에 마음을 뺏김
34. 53 건너가 게네사렛 땅에 이르러 대고 53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there.
35. 54 배에서 내리니 사람들이 곧 예수신 줄을 알고 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus.
36. 55 그 온 지방으로 달려 돌아 다니며 예수께서 어디 계시다는 말을 듣는 대로 병든 자를 침상째로 메고 나아오니 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was.
37. 56 아무 데나 예수께서 들어가시는 지방이나 도시나 마을에서 병자를 시장에 두고 예수께 그의 옷 가에라도 손을 대게 하시기를 간구하니 손을 대는 자는 다 성함을 얻으니라 56 And wherever he went--into villages, towns or countryside--they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.
