Bullying is when a person or a team
hurt someone with:
-teasing;
-name calling;
-spreading rumors;
-whispering

• Nearly 43% of kids have been
bullied online
• 70% of students report seeing
frequent bullying online
• Over 80% of teens use a cell phone
regularly, making it the most
common medium for cyber bullying
• 68% of teens agree that Cyber
bullying is a serious problem.
• 90% of teens who have seen social-
bullying say they have ignored it.

8. What must you do?
• Tell a trusted adult if you’re being cyberbullied.
• If you know someone who’s being a cyberbully tell her/him to
knock it off, it they don’t report it.
• Don’t respond to rude messages.
• If someone angers you, wait, don’t fire off a rude comeback.
• Don’t share personal information online.
• Protect your username and password.
• Don’t open anything from someone you don’t know.
• Keep privacy settings on your computer.
• Choose your friends wisely.
• Don’t post anything online that you wouldn’t mind your
parents seeing.
