Sam is very courageous and brave. He takes a lot of risks to be with the people he
loves.
• Heidy
Heidy is a very nice and caring girl who puts others before herself.
• Cassius
Cassius is the other dog that lives at Heidy’s uncle’s
house. He is jealous. Hiedy likes Sam and not him, he is
very selfish and mean.
• The Flawed Dogs The flawed
dogs from the pound are Madam, Pooft, Fabio, Ol’Blue, Bug, Wee Willy,
Jeeves, and Tusk. They help Sam dress as Mrs. Nutbush.

4. Plot, Problem,,
Solution, Climax!
• Plot: The story is about a priceless dog named Sam and his adventure to be
with the ones he loves.
• Problem: The problem is that Cassius set Sam up by saying that baby
Bruno is missing. He said that baby Bruno has gone missing so Sam
went to find baby Bruno. Baby Bruno’s mom, Ms. Violet, thinks Sam took
him. Sam was growling in anger at Cassius so Uncle Hamish shot him.
Sam was taken to the pound. He feared that Heidy didn’t love him and
he couldn’t get back to her.
• Solution: Sam can’t be with the one he loves so he uses his friends and
their talents to help him get back to Heidy. Dressed as Mrs. Nutbush
they wanted to ruin theWestminster Dog Show, and prove to Heidy that
Cassius set him up.
• Climax: The most exciting part in flawed dogs is when Sam
goes to the Westminster Dog Show with the flawed dogs
(Madam, Fabio, Ol’ Blue, Wee Willy, Bug, and Pooft) dressed
as Mrs. Nutbush so they could enter the Westminster Dog
Show.
5. SUMMARY!
• Sam is a priceless dog bred and
Hiedy’s new best friend. When he is
framed by a dog named Cassius he is
roughed up by the world and
becomes an outcast. Then he makes
friends with other flawed dogs who
help him get back too Hiedy.
6. Recommendation
• I recommend this book to 4th-6th graders who like
dogs and action.
• I chose this book because my sister bought it at the
book fair. Some of my friends liked the book and read
it.
• I read this book off and on for about 2 weeks
