Omnicell is an automatic medication and supply dispensing system that helps ensure patient safety by reducing medication mistakes. It helps monitor and control medication distribution and comply with regulatory standards. The system allows pharmacy personnel to no longer perform cart stocking and restocking, improving patient care by reducing nursing administrative time. Features include secure controlled access and the ability to automatically calculate restock levels. Policies require authorized access by pharmacy and nursing only.
