Men
Early men wore small loin clothes or strings around
their waste which did not give a lot of coverage
Later on, men started wearing a wraparound skirt
that would be hanging down till the knee or over.
The wraparound skirts were held up by rounded
belts (thick belts) and would be tied up in the back
They were decorated with either fabric or fringe
that were always cut into petal shapes
All men wore these skirts
3. Women
Early women wore big shawls around their whole bodies
The shawls were decorated with simple patterns either
all over the shawls or just on the borders
Later on, woman started wearing outfits that were sewn
and decorated with fringe
These outfits included skirts, and tops or shawls that
were also covered in fringe

Common with Fashion
The skirts that they started wearing later on
were similar
Eventually, at about 2000 B.C.E., both women
and men wore shawls and skirts around their
bodies
6. Women
Winter:
For tops, women wear long sleeved shirts, sweaters, turtle
necks and blouses.
They might wear jackets/vests over their tops for inside, when
it’s cold or to just look nice
For bottoms, women wear Jeans (Skinny, baggy, slim etc.) most
of the time in the winter time.
Also, they wear skirts with leggings under the skirt
Women sometimes wear jegging's (jean-leggings) too
For over the whole body, they sometimes wear dresses that most
of the time are long sleeved, but mostly for special occasions or
work
Shoes: High Heels, boots (leather, soft like UGGS etc, and long or
short), high tops, and flats
Outside: Rain Coat, Ski Jacket, Warm, furry, and normal jacket
etc.
7. Spring:
In the spring, women start wearing lighter clothes,
because it’s getting warmer
For tops, they wear blouses, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts,
tank tops with another top over it (jean or leather jacket
for example), etc.
They’ll might wear little jackets over their tops
For bottoms, women wear jeans, 3 quarter pants, skirts
with or without leggings, jeggings, and sometimes shorts
if it’s warm enough
For over the whole body, they wear mostly short sleeve
dresses that are long o short(most of the time, for special
occasions)
Shoes: High Heels, Boots, Flats, Toms, and Vans, Rain Boots
(Hunters for eg.)
Outside: Rain Coat, jacket etc.
8. Summer:
The summers get pretty warm in most of Canada, and so
people, ESPECIALLY women, dress very light.
For tops, women wear t-shirts or tank tops (very light).
For bottoms, women sometimes wear shorts down till
their knees, but mostly short shorts, or wear skirts with
most of the time no leggings
When going the beach, most women wear 2 piece bathing
suits, but sometimes 1 piece(2 piece is in fashion)
They wear a light dress or light shorts and a light t-shirt
over the bathing suit before swimming
Dresses also get worn in general
Shoes: Flip Flops, Vans, Toms, High Heels, Flats, Sandals
etc.
Outside: No extra layers
9. Fall:
When falls start coming in, people start wearing warmer
clothes
For tops, women in Canada wear long sleeved shirts, t-shirts,
light sweaters, and blouses
They sometimes wear little jackets/vests over these to keep
themselves warm, or for style
For bottoms, women wear jeans (baggy, slim, skinny etc.), 3
quarter jeans, skirts with leggings, and jeggings
Dresses also get worn in the fall. They will be sometimes
long sleeved, sometimes short sleeved
Shoes: High Heels, Rain Boots (Ex. Hunters), Boots (Leather,
soft etc.), Toms or Vans, and Flats
Outside: Rain coat, Jacket etc.
10. Men
Winter:
For tops, men wear mostly blouses, but many wear
long sleeved shirts, polo’s, sweaters, and ties (with
their blouses) too.
Over the blouses, they often wear blazers for going
to work, or a special occasion.
In the Winter times in Canada, men also might wear
scarves to stay warm and for style
For bottoms, they wear trousers, jeans, and other
pants (slim, baggy etc.)
Shoes: High tops, leather shoes, oxford shoes,
blucher oxford shoes, sneakers etc.
Outside: Ski Coats, Rain Coats, Blazers, Casual Coats,
Leather Jackets etc.
11. Spring
In the spring, men getting a little lighter on clothes
For tops, men wear t-shirts, long sleeved shirts,
blouses, polo’s, sweaters, and ties
Blazers may be worn over the blouses, and it’s the
same with sweaters (this won’t happen as much
though, because it gets warmer in the spring). Ties
get worn with blouses
For bottoms, they wear Jeans, trousers, and other
pants.
Shoes: High tops, leather shoes, oxford shoes,
blucher oxford shoes, sneakers etc.
Outside: Rain coats, Blazers, casual coats, and leather
jackets
12. Summer
Men obviously do not dress as light as women do, but
they do dress lighter than what they wear in the
spring.
For tops, they wear mostly T-Shirts, but also wear,
light blouses with or without ties, tank tops and
blazers sometimes
When going to the beach, they wear swimming shorts
that will either go down till their knees, half way
down to their knees or shorter.
For bottoms, they wear mostly shorts that go down till
the knees, sometimes jeans, and their swimming shorts
Shoes: Flip Flops, Sneakers, leather shoes sometimes,
high tops etc.
Outside: Nothing, a blazer, or a blouse
13. Fall
In the fall, Men start wearing warmer clothes (ex. no
shorts)
For tops, they wear, long-sleeved shirts, blouses with
or without ties, sweaters, polo’s, T-Shirts and blazers.
The blazers and sweaters get worn over the blouse
which may include a tie.
For the bottoms, men wear jeans (slim, baggy etc.),
trousers, and other pants.
Shoes: Leather shoes, High tops, Oxford shoes, Blucher
Oxford shoes, Sneakers etc.
Outside: Rain Coats, Blazers, Casual Coats, Leather
Jackets etc.
15. Some Facts
Egyptian clothing included many different colors
Fashion in Ancient Egypt wasn’t only about beauty, but
also comfort
The fashion of this culture was created so that
Egyptians could keep themselves cool in the humid
desert.
Egyptian clothing was filled with beautiful gems and
jewels
16. Women
Women wore simple and tight dresses that were called
a kalasiris dress.
A kalasiris dress was held up by 1-2 straps, and was
worn down till the ankle.
The upper-edge of the dress would be worn above the
women’s breasts or below the women’s breasts
Egyptian women had the choice of either wearing a
robe, a shawl or a cape over the dress
Beads or feathers were used as decoration on the dress
17. Men
Men wore short wraparound skirts that were called a
Shendyt.
They had a belt around the waist and were sometimes
put together at the front
Then, later on, men started wearing longer skirts at
about 1600 B.C.
Eventually, they started wearing tunics or blouses
with sleeves and a undergarment around 1420 B.C.
19. Some Facts
Greek Clothing was homemade, spun, and was similar
to a blanket or a garment.
The clothing always had intense colors and was
decorated with very detailed designs most of the time.
People could tell that the clothing had lots of color
from the paintings that they looked at
