3. •Hamdard’ is a compound word derived from Persian.
•combines the words ‘ham’ (used in the sense of ‘companion’) and ‘dard’
(meaning ‘pain’).
•Hamdard’ thus means ‘a companion in pain’ and ‘sympathizer in
suffering’
•In 1906, Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, laid the foundation of
Hamdard Dawakhana. This began as an herb shop and soon gained the
reputation of the finest supplier of herbs.
4. •Hamdard is not merely a commercial enterprise but is an institution of
social welfare.
•Its entire proceeds are spent in national and international humanitarian
pursuits, through Hamdard Foundation Pakistan.
•Hamdard Foundation Pakistan has a broad-based programmed that
includes the establishment of educational institutions, and free mobile
dispensaries providing free or low-cost treatment to the common man;
plus research laboratories, institutes and many other social welfare and

dreams and visions into reality.
•But that is exactly what the founders of Hamdard did.
•“An institution of eastern system of medicine dedicated for health care and
education and a movement for the promotion of morality, science and
culture ”
6. •Hamdard believes in combining the best of both worlds.
It manufactures traditional herbal medicines and
products in the most modern plants,
using update machinery and techniques.
•Its head office and central structure are
based in Pakistan’s industrial hub
and main port, Karachi.
•To meet the growing demand,
it also has manufacturing units
in other large cities of Pakistan,
like Lahore and Peshawar
9. • Feed back :
“ we are giving the targets to our employees and give them
order to achieve it in the given time frame , if they achieved
the target in a given time then we give extra incentives &
Foreign tours to the achievers so that our employees are
more motivated towards their goals”.
( Mr. Anees RSM )
10. Feed back :
“ I agreed that for the achievers we have foreign tours but for the
non achievers here is a very alarming situation they are putting the
non achiever on Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) so it creates
Frustration in the environment ”

11. Analysis & Discussion :
We absorbed that they are practicing Transaction Leadership style in there
organization.
What is Transactional Leadership:
Its focuses on the exchange that occurs between their leaders & followers .
Transactional leadership, also known as managerial leadership, focuses on
supervision, organization, and performance; transactional leadership is a
style of leadership in which leaders promote compliance by followers
through both rewards and punishments.
12. Transformational leadership is defined as
•A leadership approach that causes change in individuals and social systems. In its
ideal form, it creates valuable and positive change in the followers with the end goal
of developing followers into leaders.
•We have also identified a problem related to account section that most of their
employees were edged and they were unable to make there monthly audit report so
for the monthly report they hired A Salam Jan And Co to make there internal audit
as well as to make monthly report for them , so we recommend that you should
motivate your staff and call some expert related to the concern areas to properly
trained them so as a result they will be able to produce it by themselves . Or hired
some fresh blood to covered the need full area.
Notes de l'éditeur
On independence from British rule, the newly created country of Pakistan beckoned to Hakim Mohmmed Said, and he migrated to it
helping poor people, especially by giving them money.
we meet with the regional sales manager in hamdard factory and we have asked that what leadership style do the follow .
Down sizing
Transformational leaders eliminate communication barriers existing in an organization and enable effective functioning of the organization. Change is unavoidable in any enterprise and the biggest challenge encountered by any organization is to manage the change effectively. Change when managed poorly can deteriorate an organizations’ performance and lead to its decline
