2. Secondary Research - Data collected through the internet, books or archive media
The first piece of secondary research I am doing to be doing will be through the internet and
this will be based around fashion.
Fashion –
The fashion I will be researching will be from the 2000s
onwards, this is when I think fashion played a very big
part in everything people did, i.e. music videos and
movies had a consistent fashion from the 2000s
onwards. This fashion was very uni-sex varied most
clothing items men and women were both able to wear.
Here is one clothing item you can see is worn through
the 2000s by men and women ‘crop top. But now 2017
it is only considered for women and most men would be
considered ‘ girly ‘. Another famous trend from the
2000s are halter neck tops and off the shoulder tops,
these may seem normal items to have but then it was
seen as a basic form of clothing just like a black/white
shirt. I found a couple fashion shows from a couple
years ago reflecting the start of the 2000s fashion

fashion show is from 1992 and is based around the
fashion in the 2000s, this shows that the actual fashion
came out years back but was only brought into the eye
many years later.

apposed to this fashion show was around which was
around the 1999s and shows a more conservative look
but this is the time the fashion from a decade ago came
back into fashion but designer companies where coming
into a new look. Again this is to actors and models who
brought the fashion that stated in 1992 back into 2000s
and made it the signature 2000s fashion.
Fashion varied from the 2000s to 09 where mainly introduced by
fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen, Vera Wang,
Christian Louboutin, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, and
Karl Lagerfeld. The top supermodels of the decade were Kate
Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Heidi
Klum, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Karolína Kurková, Miranda
Kerr, Izabel Goulart, Selita Ebanks, Christy Turlington and Linda
Evangelista. These are some of the fashions designers even fashion
models that had contributed to the fashion we now call fashion
from the 2000s. Fashions varied in the 2000s such as people as hip
hop singers and r’n’b singers had added a certain image people
would follow. Around the 2004 African culture and dresses where
coming more into the eye of people and more and more people
would express wearing the styles. The 2004 consisted of people
wearing different fashions and over laying a lot of clothing. I also
have found a video on most fashion trends from the 2000s.

conclution I would say that the 2000s fashion is more about mixing
patterns and styles, making clash and that become into the 2000s
fashion trend.

3. Secondary Research – Locations
Alexandra road esate
The barbican
- Ally pally probably has the most history to
offer as it is known as an historic venue
place I would like to focus on this venue
as I feel like it has a lot of offer to the
people of UK as many artist of different
genres have preformed here e.g Skept and
Elton John.
- Alexandra Park was opened to the public
on 23 July 1863
- the palace was completed in 1873 and, on
24 May of that year, Alexandra Palace and
Park was opened.
- Only 16 days later, Alexandra Palace was
destroyed by a fire which also killed three
members of staff. Only the outer walls
survived; a loan exhibition of a collection
of English pottery and porcelain,
comprising some 4,700 items of historic
and intrinsic value, was also destroyed
- Trellic towers I like the architecture and I imagine a very
creative photoshoot with it
- Trellick Tower is a 31-storey block of flats in Kensal
Town, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London,
England
- By the late 1970s Trellick Tower was a scene of crime
including rape and the assault of a child, and anti-social
behaviour, and many tenants resisted a transfer there.
With the introduction of the 'right to buy' council homes,
many of the flats were bought by the tenants. In 1983
the building received a concierge. (has a very negative
past but the fact that the community stick together
does not really get reflected upon as of the past of it)
- The oil-fired boilers originally used became obsolete due
to the 1973 oil crisis, the year after the tower opened.
The flats now have electric heaters and the plant room
although disused, still houses most of the now defunct
plant. A planning application was made to convert it into
a apartment but was refused by the council
St Pauls cathedral – I like the history and thought
put into the new architecture of the St Pauls
Cathedral
- An Anglican (English Church) cathedral
- Built in 1675 was rebuilt many times before
after this date due to war damage and fire
damages in the church but the main building
today was based of from the 1675 model.
- First design goes back to the 12th century
- The war damage cause most havoc in the
famous dome of the cathedral, which was
resigned and took 15 years to complete the
year of the compilation was October 2011. This
also was fully completed in 2012, that is the
final St Pauls cathedral.

4. Secondary Research
London bridge
- The London bridge is based in the south
east of London, in the borough of
Southwark
- The current London bridge building was
built around the 1970s
- Was first a normal part of London, as it
has supermarkets and little shops,
including a church on the London bridge
because of the shops being tightly packed
there would often of fire attacks.
- After the change in the deign of the
London bridge was introduced and the
production of the current London bridge
started and that is the London bridge we
now see, this is now only use a London
seeing sight and a place for transport via
walking, driving and the boats.
Alexandra road estate
- This estate built for after the world war to
home people who homes where destroyed
during the war.
- Also known as Alexandra and Ainsowrth
estate or just as Rowley way
- The design took place in 1968 at the
Camden's architecture department
- The estate homes to more than 500, with 4
stories
- Main aim was to beat housing with poor
qualities and to have a stand off balcony
hence why the entire estate is built off rock
and concrete
- This now recently costs higher as it is part of
art
- Has suffered the least of vandalism from
other estates in Camden
- Described as one of the most ‘ distinguished
groups of buildings since the world war ii ‘
The Barbicun Estate
- Was featured In Skeptas shutdown video
- Bulit during the 1960s and 1970s, based in the East
Central of London, the area was destroyed due to
damage from the world war ii
- The area has always been densely packed hence
the reasons to why the estate is so big
- The Barbicun contains an art centre, public library,
London city school for girls and YMCA (currently
closed)
- The new construction includes facilities for the
London city school for girls, the estate is enclosed
and is literally a square with an empty middle
- In September 2001 is was announced as the grade
II listed
- It is also considered to be a landmark and is a
concreate example of the brutalist architecture
- The estate has 3 main towers which are 42 stories
high (Cromwell tower, Shakespeare tower,
Luaderdale Tower)
- Once was also considered to be the highest towers
of London.
