The key success principle that will help you recruit more quality people into your mlm business
is: leverage success.
What does that mean?
You use the success you already have to get more success.
But what if you haven’t sponsored anyone yet?

3. It doesn’t matter.
You will be able to apply this principle even if you are a newbie and haven’t sponsored a single
person yet.
MLM Recruiting Tips #1: Leverage Your Past Successes
I first discovered this principle when I was a law student and landed my first legal job.
I was hired and on my first week of the job, the CEO of the company I worked for, looks at me
and asks:
Do you know why I hired you?
I said, “I don’t know. Why?”
He told me that he hired me because of my story.
During my interview he asked me what was the most difficult thing I had to overcome. I told him
about my illness.
I shared my story of how I spent my first year of law school terribly sick and as a result my
grades suffered.

4. I shared how I was able to overcome that challenge.
The CEO later told me during my first week of work that someone also applied for the same
position, and that person was already licensed, but the CEO chose me instead because of my
story.
The CEO told me, you can tell a lot about someone’s character from their story.
I later used what the CEO told me to then get hired at other places. I figured if someone would
hire me for my story and I would get paid (get a job salary) for my story, it would work for me in
other job positions.
I leveraged my past success.
Why do I share that story?
I see so many mlm newbies insecure about their ability to recruit reps into their business
because they haven’t had any success yet, they are not the top leaders in the company.
But, you can attract people to you by just sharing your story like I did with the CEO.
Share with others the struggles you have overcome.
Share with prospects the pain that was in your life that led you to joining a mlm business.
Prospects will connect with you and with your story and will be attracted to you.
You have probably used “Your story” to get success before in other areas of your life: in job
interviews, in college essays with your college application, in getting a spouse, etc.

5. Leverage that success to create success in your mlm business.
MLM Recruiting Tips #2: Leverage the Success of Others
As a newbie, you can also leverage success by leveraging the success of others.
Find people in your company, especially people in your team or your upline, who have been
successful and share their stories.
Talk about how these successful people in your team reached their success by using your
team’s special training or system.
Say this only if it is true.
Also, look at the people who have already joined your mlm company. These are people who saw
the value of your mlm business.
Who are they?
What were their professional backgrounds?
Why did they join?
Use their story to find more people like them so you can recruit reps effortlessly.
I used this strategy when I was a newbie in my mlm company.
I was in a health and wellness company and a complete newbie to network marketing.
I looked around at the top leaders in the company and noticed something interesting….
most of them were personal trainers.
I had no personal training background but I started marketing to personal trainers.
I was able to recruit 2 people into my business in 1 month, hit the first rank in my company
The best thing about this was when I talked with these personal trainers, they signed up the
SAME day I talked to them.
Why? they were quality prospects AND they saw the value of my mlm business. They were
passionate about the niche my mlm business belonged to (health and wellness).
This is how you work smarter instead of harder.

Also, when I talk with network marketers and they share with me that they are struggling, I ask
them “have you sponsored anyone yet?”
Most of the time they say yes, but only a few people.

Personally Sponsored Reps
Ask your team members why they joined you.
This is similar to my boss, the CEO, telling me why he hired me.
You want to figure out why they joined you so you can then leverage that in your marketing.
Here are some additional questions to ask:
● how did you find me? what marketing strategy or method you used that allowed them to
discover you? [Note: whatever marketing method this was is working for you, so do more
of it!]

7. ● why did you join our business? what was it about our business that you liked? [Note: this
is a key benefit/feature of your mlm business that you will want to emphasize in your
marketing]
● what was going on in your life that led you to think about starting a home­based
business? [Note: this is the pain of your target market, you want to speak to this pain in
your marketing]
Take all the info that you gather and now use it to get a better picture of your ideal target market.
The people that have already joined you, saw the value of your business and took the action you
want others to take.
Now, you can use their answers to your questions to find more people like them.
