2. Annie Dillard is an American
author , known to create
fictional and non-fictional
stories. So far, she has
published works of poetry like,
Mayakovsky In New York :A
Found Poem and Mornings Like
This: A Found Poem. She has
also published novels such as ,
The Writing Life, Holy the
Firms and From the Time
Being. She also has published
essays and one memoir called
“An American Childhood”,
which will be the topic of this
Report. But first……

3.  She was born in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania,Usa on April 30,1945.
 She is the eldest of the three (3) daughter
of Frank Doak.
 Her Favorite book is The Field Book of
Ponds and Streams by Ann Haven Morgan.
 She is still alive.

4. The story of AnnieDillard’s childhood can be found in her
memoir1 ; An American Childhood. The story in our book is
justa part of her autobiography/novel/memoir.When she
was young, she attended church in Shadyside Presbyterian
Churchin Pittsburgh but her parentsdidn’t.

5. When she grew up, she stopped attending
church because of hypocrisy1.
As for her studies, she attended Pittsburgh
Public Schools until Grade 5 the she went to
The Ellis School, and for college, Hollin’s
University.

6. In the book, she described herself as
possessing enthusiastic practices in sports
such as in foot ball and baseball, which was
weird because you would expect that in a boy
back on those days.. But during the winter,
football and baseball weren’t available. So
instead, she and her guy friends would throw
snowballs at passing cars across the street.
Once, she got in trouble and she had been
rarely been happier ever since that day…..
