This document discusses various forms of media that allow for both content creation and consumption, including books, magazines, newspapers, social networking sites, blogging, podcasting, music, digital video/art, gaming, virtual worlds, mobile devices, and web 2.0 applications. Many of these new media platforms enable what is known as a "writer/reader mashup" by blurring the line between content producers and consumers.
