The main aim of this study was to design and
implement traffic control system using
PLC(programmable logic controller).

• Detects the state of all input devices that are
connected to the plc.
• Executes the user created program logic.
• Energizes or de-energize all output devices that are
connected to the plc.

corresponding relay control systems.
• Simple, low cost maintenance.

• Program a ladder logic diagram to control the traffic light.
• Combine the software part and the hardware part to simulate a
traffic light system.
