2. Through using blogger, research, planning and evidence of preliminary
tasks are presented appropriately using a variety of platforms;
including presentations embedded from Slideshare and images that
present examples that support the text. Having used Blogger for the
first time, the website itself is quite straightforward in publishing blogs
to allow public viewers to observe different the different completed
tasks. Publishing new posts is very easy and the blogging site clearly
presents the different ways in which information can be presented; via
embedding videos and slideshows or uploading images.
3. Primarily, using the internet provided the opportunity to gather a
variety of exemplar magazines to analyse through using search
engines, such as Google. Through Google, links to websites with
information regarding student magazines and relevant images were
found in order to present information within the blog much more
creatively. Additionally, using the internet provided the opportunity to
use blogging sites, such as Blogger. By using Slideshare for the first
time, this also allowed the presentations created, that held completed
research and planning, to be embedded so that they could be
previewed via Blogger. Ultimately, the Internet was very useful in
contrasting the preliminary student magazine.
4. Throughout the construction of the media product, Photoshop provided
the opportunity to literally construct the media product by placing main
images into an A4 workspace, creating cover-lines and additional
conventional features that resulted in a conventional student
magazine. Seeing that I had used Photoshop in the past, my
knowledge of the different features within Photoshop was improved,
rather than learning new technologies within the design software.
5. Being the first time using InDesign, the way in which grids and
guidelines were used within the programme to construct magazines
was learnt throughout this process. Additionally, the way in which
columns were employed in order to organise the contents was learnt,
in order to allow the audience to read the contents easily. Using grids
and guidelines, the images and text were aligned to create visual
impact and allow the contents page to look constructed well and
effectively.
