dead. Well, it’s a sensible conclusion to come to, and it’s progressive thinking, but in this
case, it’s dead wrong. Let’s take a look at why.
Preeminence of Search Engines
The reason technologies “die” is because they either become irrelevant to our daily lives,
or are replaced by faster, more accurate, or just all-round better alternatives. This is easy
to see with desktops being replaced by just as powerful, significantly more portable
laptops. SEO is still startlingly relevant, though, precisely because we still not only use
search engines, but rely on them. Just think: Every time most people with smart phones
have questions, what do they do? Ask Google, right then and there.
This is one reason SEO is not dead: We still search, and optimizing the results of those searches
is something that everyone appreciates and benefits from, whether they know it or not.

When you think about it, the Internet is so successful because it’s a wonderland of web
shops. What do we mean by that? Well, that you can find just about any product you

them to return the best results by default. This is another reason SEO is not dead:
People still rely on it, and expect it to be active whenever they run a search. At the end of
