  1. Hello my name is Nathaniel Ashford and I am going to be going through this PowerPoint. It is designed for fun and goes through different questions regarding communication.
  2. Being able how to speak with people in a clear and concise way is very important when you want to communicate effectively. Having this skill is a good way to talk to lots of different people. Effective communication is important because it allows you to communicate efficiently so all of your points are heard.
  3. An open ended question is a question that can have more than a yes and no answer. It can have a range of different answers. For example if you ask someone how many sugars they would like in their tea. The response would be something like “I would like 2 sugars in my tea please.”
  4. A closed ended question would only have one answer. A yes or no answer. For example a question would be would you like a cup of tea. The answer would be yes please or no thank you.
  5. A scaled question is a basic form of the likert scale but the likert scale predominantly used in a form of a research questionnaire. The likert scale is commonly interchanged with the rating scale. A common questionnaire layout that uses the likert scale will have the answers strongly agree, agree, unsure, disagree and strongly disagree.
  6. The best way to present yourself in an interview is to sit up straight and maintain eye contact. Doing this will ensure you look professional and confident.
  7. A fairly common misunderstanding is using there when its suppose to be their. This is also common with a few other words. It can be difficult for people to understand if they are new to the language. The misunderstanding here is counting your fingers the wrong way round in different countries this can mean different things.
