Lending Library System
In our department there are around 450 books and magazines
which are referred by the design engineers But many of the times they
have to waste their time in searching the proper book as it does not have
its own place and position.
To resolve this problem I have implemented this Lending
Library System

Cost Reduction Of Sensor pad Endshield
Description:-
Sensor Pad is placed on the endshield. It helps to locate the triaxial
sensor. Sensor pad is placed on both the sides i.e. on AS (driving
end), BS (non-driving end).
Application :-
It helps to to locate the SPM sensors

This part is made by fabrication then the suggestion was made to do this
by casting.

Cost Calculations:-
When the Part is made of Mild Steel then the total cost along with
Sensor pad component and machining goes to approx Rs 9,946 /-
When the Part is Made of Cast iron then the total cost along with
component and machining Excluding Pattern cost goes to approx
Rs 4,066/-
According to Last year order along with sensor pad for specific frame
was 5 Nos.
Total Machining Cost of MS adaptor would be = Rs 49,730/-
Total Machining Cost of CI adaptor would be = Rs 20,330/-
Total Saving = Rs 29,400/-
Total Pattern Modification Cost = Rs 5,586/-
Total NET Profit = Rs 23,814/-

Reasons
 Previously it is made in Text format where it has to be edit line by line
which takes so much of time to complete the single ECN form
 it makes the user annoyed.
 We wont be able to get the data in digital format
 For single ECN paper we have to search it in the Number of files
which is time consuming.

Finally it comes to cost & time…..
Previously to fill single form in text format it takes time = 17 minutes*
Same form in this system can take time = 7 minutes*
So total time saved = 10 minutes per ECN
ECN done in between April 13 to April 14 = 326
Total time saved = 3260 Minutes
= 54.3 Hours
1 Engineering hour Cost = Rs.5500/-
Total profit per year = Rs. 2,98,650/-
* Denotes average time considering standard ECN
