• Christian Service
• Serviam
The common thread among the terms is taking action for
the benefit of someone other than yourself in the classroom
or in the community through school sponsored activities
and community sponsored activities.

few ways that students get involved:
• Assisting nonprofits with Social Media
• Building bicycles for children
• Teaching elderly how to use cell phones
• Building Playgrounds

• Playing with children at homeless
shelters
• Helping kids with physical impairments

students significantly exceeded the goal every semester. This is typical.

15. Is Going Paperless Part of Your 21st
Century Initiative?
Students and administrators alike tend to put-off their record-keeping tasks when
forms must be signed and notes read and filed by hand. The old paper system didn’t
encourage students to volunteer or be good time managers.
Today’s tech-native youth intuitively know there is an easier way to track their service
time besides filling out a form.

Students can log their service hours using the
free x2VOL mobile app while on site at an
organization.
16. What is the Main Barrier To A
Successful Service Program?
17. The Problem: Paper Tracking
Most schools track student
service hours on paper
forms with physical
signatures.
Paper forms are a
decentralized, time
consuming, inaccurate
way to measure the impact
of student service and
progress.

organizations post events
online.
Additional information is required
for events completed outside of
x2VOL. You can customize the
falsification consequences.
27. How x2VOL Works: for schools
• Admin permissions are assigned to a person at each school. This person
grants access to counselors, faculty and club sponsors.
• Groups and Goals are established. We will help you set these up.
For instance, you will have graduating class groups (Class of 2013) and you
may also want an NHS group, Athletics group and/or Student Council.
• You can decide if the service hour goals can be shared (double-dipped) or if
they are exclusive to a group.
• Student hours and reflections are approved by the school and verified by
nonprofit organizations.
• Real-time reports are generated from the goals in x2VOL and
can be sorted on screen and exported to .xls.
28. x2VOL Setup, Training & Support
intelliVOL provides the x2VOL setup, training and ongoing
support.
After we receive notification from Hobsons, we will contact
you to discuss next steps and plan the training and roll out
that fits your schedule.
