MY nawbo SEVA meMBERSHIP PLANNER 	This planner uses a three-step process to help you gain clarity about the NAWBO membership experience you want to create. It’s designed to help you identify your unique goals and map them to specific actions you can take to achieve your goals.
MY nawbo SEVA meMBERSHIP PLANNER This also helps you develop strategies to avoid the obstacles that can take you off course. If you invest just 30 minutes to complete this planner, you’ll have a tool to help you create a rich and rewarding membership experience... one that will help you grow with NAWBO SEVA.  REWARDING
I. Why did I join or ... why am I considering joining NAWBO?  	Review the list to follow for common membership benefits. Write down any aspects that are most important to you. Is there another potential benefit not listed? If so, write it down. Once you’ve identified your personal priorities, rank them in importance.

II. Clarify and Prioritize what I want 	Now review your list of reasons for joining NAWBO. Locate the benefits and objectives that are most important to you, those that you ranked a 1, 2 or wrote in. Be honest with yourself, so you can align your time and energy with your specific priorities.

It also helps you make an informed decision, if you are thinking about joining NAWBO. If you’re a current member, going through this process helps you discover how you can best leverage your membership to fulfill your unique needs, while also supporting other members.

Clarify and Prioritize what I want 	List your top three to five most important benefits or objectives then rank your preferences. 1 (being the most important) to 5 (being the lowest priority on your list for now).  III. My Action Plan 	Now convert the priorities you’ve listed in the first two steps to goals that will help you align with what you envisioned when joining.Convert your NAWBO priorities into goals using theSMART method – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-based.  	1. 2. 	3.
III. My Action Plan 	Now that you have specific goals, think about what you will do or contribute in order to achieve your goals.  Consider the following questions as you put your Action Steps together.
III. My Action Plan What do I want to contribute to NAWBO?Consider your goals and inherent strengths and talents. For example, if your desire is to gain exposure for your business or create friendships, consider scheduling one-on-one meetings outside of the monthly meetings, joining a committee or taking on a board position etc.
III. My Action Plan 	If you are a natural born planner, share your talent as a committee or board member while achieving your goal of gaining exposure and expanding your social circle. There are many ways you can contribute to the group while putting yourself in a position to gain as well. Write down your thoughts, potential strategies, and contributions.
III. My Action Plan What type of services do your ideal customers seek before, during or after they look for your products or services? This is a powerful question and is worth taking time to consider. These are your potential partners, affiliates, or referral resources.
III. My Action Plan 	What is your strategy for making connections with the people that can help you and how can you help them? Write down your thoughts.

III. My Action Plan What will you do to proactively address potential issues so they do not take you off course?

III. My Action Plan What do you tend to avoid? Your actions are more effective when you choose actions that are congruent with who you are.
III. My Action Plan 	For example, if you’re shy, you may not feel comfortable asking a casual acquaintance for a one-on-one meeting. However, you could ask a member to introduce you, or to host a luncheon with the person you want to meet. You could exchange services to thank your friend for her efforts. List your potential obstacles and the strategies you will take to prevent them from becoming roadblocks.

Also, give yourself the gift of play and connecting with friends to recharge your batteries frequently. We can not give to others when we don’t take care of ourselves first! Update your planner once a year or as your goals or circumstances change.
