Class News
This Week’s Academics
Spelling
Spelling can be so tricky! Encourage your child to
think about the sounds that make up each word and to
say the sounds as they read and write their words.
Reading
We completed Sarah, Plain and Tall! This Friday we
will start a new book called Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of
NIMH. I loved this story and I am excited for the class
to read about intelligent rats and mice, with the ability
to read and build their own community!
Writing
We will be continuing our exploration into personal
narratives. Each student has started a piece and we
will be adding description and details.
Math
Now we are looking at how to round. Students are
reviewing how to round to the nearest 10, 100, 1,000,
