  1. Mobile Life is one of the 15 Excellence Centre from VINNOVA. 35 researchers from different backgrounds. The centre has been founded from the VINNOVA 10 years grant for a budget of 210million. 1/3 from industry, 1/3 from academics, 1/3 from VINNOVA

Deeply understand the unique properties of the future mobile life Create new interaction models generally applicable across devices and application Develop efficient and user-oriented methods for developing mobile services Create and implement new mobile and ubiquitous services in areas such as pervasive games, social, emotional and bodily communication and new mobile media Explore alternative universes for infrastructure, business models and the industry’s new role in the future mobile ecosystem

Maybe we can take the shiny Web 2.0 and just move it on a mobile. It is not our vision at all. We call these Mobile 2.0 services, because we think they represent as much as a leap from current mobile services as Web2.0 represents from the original World Wide Web.

  12. This comes from a method by Bill Gaver called cultural probes. The idea is not We asked 15 people using the subway every day to capture their experience by shooting pictures. They were asked to take pictures of 7 different things (something that makes their journey shorter, something annoying...).
