It has a wide floodplain (1) though it’s narrower at Lochlands (1). The gradient of the River Dee is more gentle than the other one so it is likely to be slower flowing (2).The Dee flows east whereas the other flows south east (1). The River Dee flows in a wider U shaped valley whereas the other one is in a V shaped valley (2).
