2. Health Related Fitness is theoretically
defined as a multidimensional construct
containing the components
cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular
strength, muscular endurance, flexibility
and body composition.
3. The health-related components of
fitness involve movement that
improves a student's physical
health and ability to stay healthy.
4. Health Related Fitness Components:
1.Cardiovascular endurance, or aerobic
fitness, is how well your heart and
lungs can supply the oxygen you need
while you exercise at medium to high
intensity.
5. If you have good cardiovascular endurance,
you can exercise at medium intensity for a
long time (and high intensity for a while)
before it makes you tired.
6. Examples of cardiovascular endurance
activities include:
• Swimming.
• Riding a bike.
• Dancing.
• Jogging.
• Walking.
• Jumping rope.
• Climbing stairs.
7. 2.Muscular strength is the amount of
force you can put out or the amount of
weight you can lift. Muscular endurance
is how many times you can move that
weight without getting exhausted (very
tired).
8. Examples of muscle-strengthening activities
include:
• lifting weights
• working with resistance bands
• climbing stairs
• hill walking
• cycling
• dance
• push-ups, sit-ups and squats
9. 3. Muscular Endurance
In strength training, muscular endurance
refers to the number of repetitions of a
single exercise you can do without needing
to stop and rest. Muscular endurance in
Physical Education is the ability of the
muscles to perform continuous without
fatiguing.
10. Examples of Muscular Endurance
Activities;
•Long-distance running
•Cycling
•Swimming
•Circuit training
•Bodyweight exercises
11. 4. Flexibility is the ability of a joint or
series of joints to move through an
unrestricted, pain free range of motion.
13. 5. Body mass index (BMI) is a person's
weight in kilograms divided by the
square of height in meters. BMI is an
inexpensive and easy screening method
for weight category—underweight,
healthy weight, overweight, and obesity.
