Profile
I am a mechanical engineer, specialized in HVACR at the Engineer Faculty (ISPJAE) in Havana
Cuba, 1985.
During my career I have worked in different branches of my specialty. I have designed systems for
air conditioning and for refrigerated rooms. I have also experience in installation and maintenance
of refrigeration and clima. Further, I have been working as a technical professor of HVACR.
I have authored and published the book “Los refrigerantes en Las Instalaciones Frigoríficas”
published by Paraninfo in 2005.
Professional Experience
From November 2011. Danfoss, application laboratory.
Danfoss is a manufacturer of refrigeration and heating components who also offers solutions for
power generation. It is a global company with facilities all over the world.
Position. Application Laboratory Manager
Tasks/responsibilities.
In my position as Danfoss Laboratory Manager, I am responsible for a group of engineers and
technicians who are in charge of testing Danfoss products. We work together with our R & D sales,
marketing, and production teams to introduce new products in the market with high-quality
standards and reliability.

2. My responsibilities are:
- Manage and lead the application laboratory team.
- Create the conditions to permit the team deliver the tasks on time and with a high level
of quality.

During this period of time, I have had responsibility in the following projects.
- Relocation of the Laboratory.
- Specification and order of the 250 KW R 134a test rig.
- Specification and order of the 500 KW R 744 test rig.
- Specification and order of the 2000 KW pump system for testing HFC refrigeration
components
- Specification and order of the Universal Psychometric Chamber for testing Heat
pumps and air conditioning units.
- Implementation of the 5S in the laboratory area.
- Specification, order and implementation of the Global Management System.
- Lead the Test New Low GWP Refrigerants Project to support the Global AHRI Low-
GWP refrigerant Project.
2000-2010 CEFOIM. Technical Study Centre.
CEFOIM is a technological academy which offers courses to companies and individuals. There I have been
teaching students to obtain the certifications of the Spanish Ministry of Industry as well as the certification
of advanced level in cooling and heating.
In CEFOIM I have developed projects of several courses, and training programs for the personnel of many
