Notes de l'éditeur
Through regular formal and informal meeting, Leaders are able to connect and get to know one another. Next Rockford is the only organization in town focused on bringing the Next Generation of Leaders together. Next Rockford believes there is inherent value in connecting Leaders with each other.
Monthly programming allows for education and opportunity for involvement in the critical issues of education, the business environment and urban development. Once the group and its members are educated on an issue, it is more likely that someone will get involved and will be about the solution.
The connectivity Next Rockford has with numerous organizations in the area allow for the Next Generation of Leaders to be engaged in the issues that are important.
RAEDC – board position, solutions teams membership.
ATRTA effort – organizing committee seats, sub committee positions.
Rockford Park District – reaching out to Next Rockford for feedback and involvement in upcoming events.
Politicians / Policy Leaders – they want to connect with Gen X and Gen Y
Not-for-profit community – clearing house for potential board seats throughout the community. April ’08 specific training for Next Rockford Members on board responsibilities.
Countless other group connections that want Next Generation Leaders
