- 2. A short history lesson! Many years ago (2007) …!
- 3. Accessibility Challenges: 2007! ! •! Can users see the content?! •! Can search engines?! •! Is the content working across browsers?!
- 4. Optimization Challenges: 2007! ! (Ok, people can see it, but..)! •! Is the content “right-sized” for the screen?! •! Above the fold?! •! Are users hunting for CTAs?!
- 5. A few years ago, we were finally getting control over this situation.! ! •! Browsers had similar functionality! •! Universal Flash adoption (almost)! •! 1024x768 screen resolution rules! On the Desktop, our work was accessible and optimized. ! ! We controlled the screen.!
- 7. You can browse the Web on your phone!! ! ! But…It’s very tiny.! Oh! And this guy ! doesn’t like Flash.! 2007!
- 8. And then, something else happened…!
- 9. The entire web at your fingertips, literally!! ! ! ! Oh, by the way he STILL doesn’t like Flash.! 2010!
- 10. And then, things started to get weird…!
- 11. Highly portable " tablet?! ! At least it likes Flash.! 2011!
- 12. What was the ! Impact of the last 5 years?!
- 13. Accessibility! We Choose The Moon! Users can no longer see our content.!
- 14. The Optimization! New York Times! It’s not optimized for smaller screens, so it’s virtually unusable. !
- 15. 25% of Web users! Their phone is the primary method of using the internet !
- 16. By 2014, internet usage on ! mobile will overtake desktop.!
- 17. The Future The Rise of Flash?! of HTML5?!
- 18. What going to happen next?! !
