1. This is the Bigar Cascade Falls in Carass
Severin, Romania at the 45th parallel.
The dramatic moss-covered falls are situated
in the forests of the Anina Mountains and are
formed by an underground water spring that
spills into the Minis River.
2. A group of Rainbow Eucalyptus trees spotted just off the
Hana Highway in east Maui.
Commonly known as the Rainbow Eucalyptus, the
Mindanao Gum, or the Rainbow Gum, it is the only
Eucalyptus species found naturally in the Northern
Hemisphere.
The unique multi-hued bark is the most distinctive
feature of the tree. Patches of outer bark are shed
annually at different times, showing a bright green inner
bark.
This then darkens and matures to give blue, purple,
orange and then maroon tones.

5. Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in
India and the grandest in the state
of Rajasthan.
The fort, plainly known as Chittor,
was the capital of Mewar and is
situated several kilometres by road
south of Bhilwara.
6. This stunning rock formation is located
at Iguazu Falls.
This particular view can be seen from the
lookout on San Martin Island on the
Argentinian side of the falls.

8. SkÃgafoss is a waterfall situated in the south of Iceland
at the cliffs of the former coastline.
The coastline has now receded and it is now at a
distance of about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) from SkÃgar.

dropping Dragon Falls in Venezuela.
Known locally as Churun Meru, it is about 10 km
south of Angel Falls in the same valley.
10. The Ninety Mile Beach is a sandy stretch of south-
eastern coastline of Victoria, Australia along the
Gippsland Lakes region of East Gippsland on Bass
Strait. The beach is just over 151 kilometres (94 MI) long
running north-eastward

A maelstrom is a very powerful whirlpool; a
large, swirling body of water. A free vortex, it
has a considerable downdraft.
15. The moon and Venus over Switzerland.
Lit from beneath by lights from the village of
Trubbach, Switzerland, a snow covered
mountain, Mittlerspitz, poses dramatically
on the upper left, hovering over the
small town of Balzers, Liechtenstein far
below.
16. The Flatirons are rock formations near Boulder,
Colorado. There are five large, numbered Flatirons
ranging from north to south (First through Fifth,
respectively) along the east slope of Green Mountain.
