When coming Nam Dinh, we will relax at Nga Hồng

 At 6:00 a.m we take you to visit Xuan Thuy national
park. Our tour-guide introduces you clearly about the
national park.
 At 17:00 p.m we come back the Ánh Dương hotel to
rest and have dinner.
 At 6:00 a.m from Ánh Dương hotel we will come to Hai
Thinh beach.
 We relax in Huy Anh hotel in 2 days.
 At 6:00 a.m we depart the Huy Anh hotel to Tran
temple.
 Tour-guide takes you to visit the scenery in the temple
from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
 11:15 a.m we come back the K hotel

7. VIENG MARKET - also is called “hades market”. Every year, on the 7th
and
8th
January (Lunar) the Vieng Market Festival is held with a bigger scale in Trung
Thanh commune, Vu Ban district and Goi town, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh
province, Viet Nam as a custom for a long time. The Vieng market festival has
become a mainstay of the Red River culture.
With the advantage of having lasting
history of culture, traditions, Vieng
Market is one of the most attractive
tourist destinations of Nam Dinh
Province and is the only one of Nam
Dinh’s many efforts to develop
tourism and attract international
visitors.
On the 8th
January, that is the
moment of heavenly - early,
positive-negative exchange. People
who go to the market feel that they
will get luckier if they buy
something made of copper at Vieng
market on this day.

The Vieng market has been
considered the market of luck,
where people come to buy luck
without bargaining. Potatoes,
vegetables, peanuts, handicraft
products, antiquities and false
antiquities, utensils, farm tools,
such as: hoes and sickles are for sale
here, and many kinds of ornamental
plants; flowers and trees.
Some products are bartered
without money. Some people have
vegetables, some have shovels, and
others have ploughs. They trade
with one another, with no mention
of price”.
There are about 10,000 – 12,000 people
coming to the market on the following

Vieng market is also destination of
tourist during their visit in Nam Dinh,
where they can find gifts and souvenirs
for their family and friends.

9. Xuan Thuy National Park is an ecological tourist destination which is interesting
for people preferring to study about the life of migratory birds and wildlife. The
fertile alluvium of the Red river and river-side area make it become a natural
reserve area with many unique underwater sceneries of wetland ecosystem. In
here, there are many wild fauna and flora and rare migratory birds.
Location: the Xuan Thuy National
Park is located 150 kilometers
south east of Hanoi. It is located in
Giao Thuy commune, Giao Thuy
district, Nam Dinh province. The
natural area of the National Park is
about 7.100 ha. According to the
scientists’ statistics, in the National
Park, there are 219 kinds of bird.
Yearly, in November and December, the
schools of bird from the northern to east to
avoid the coldness, and they choose Xuan
Thuy National Park to reside, relax, and
feed to get energy for their long journey of
thousands of kilometers. In the height, the
Xuan Thuy National Park is considered as a
“station” of international birds with near 40
thousands of bird.

10. This is the unique National Park of Vietnam now which participates in the
international convention - RAMSAR (the convention conserve the wetlands area
which has the international importance, especially in the residence of sea birds).
The area of Xuan Thuy National Park
has an original ecological system, and it
is a residence of many kinds of sea
birds, there are 9 kinds in them are the
rare kinds of birds in the international
Red book. The forest contributes to
maintain alluvial to create new mudflats, is
nurseries and provides food for aquatic
animals, and played the role of ecological
balance in the area. There are 111 species
of phytoplankton and algae which have
much economic high value.
Xuan Thuy mangrove is a residence of
many kinds of bird, sea cat, sea fox, and
otters. In the underwater, there are shrimp;
fish (crab, snake, clam, scallops) ... are the
rich sources of food for birds. Coming to
Xuan Thuy, visitors enjoy the large space of
earth and sky, cloud and water. And take
the fresh air, and see the flocks of bird
diligently feeding or flying kick up. Tourists
will find peace in this national park.

11. HAI THINH BEACH
Hai Thinh beach – the new and pristine purity beach in Hai Hau district.
Located around 100km to the North
of Hanoi, at Thinh Long Town, Hai
Hau District, Nam Dinh Province. Hai
Thinh is a new beach in Hai Hau,
Nam Dinh that has only recently
become popular Hai Thinh is a clear
and peaceful beach, which stretches
over 3 km with smooth sand.

The scenery at Hai Thinh is
unequalled by other beaches on the
coast of Northern Vietnam, due to
its untouched beauty and clean
waters.

12. Hai thinh beach - a peaceful paradise
For visitors who live in noisy cities, Hai
Thinh beach really is a peaceful paradise
with churches, beautiful and gentle
atmosphere of living village.
If you want to take photos, you should
travel by a bicycle, you can go by
motorbike, but in my opinion, the noise
of the machine and gasoline smell will not
make you feel completely comfortable.
Let us helps you discover the rustic beauty of the countryside
that does not exist in any other beach
Hai Thinh has diverse, delicious
and fresh seafood.
With visitors who cannot eat sea
food, there are many tasty Junk
joods in Hai Hau district with
acceptable prices such as “banh
cuan”, the famous beef noodle in
the Nguyen Du Street, “Kem xoi”
in the Mac Thi Buoi intersection
or the “pate” bread at the foot of
Do Quan Bridge.

14. TRAN TEMPLE
Nam Dinh is the hometown of the Tran temple which is a famous historical
monument. It is located in Tran Thua Street, Loc Vuong ward, Nam Dinh city (next
to highway 1). This is a temple to worship the Tran kings and the mandarins of the
Tran dynasty. The Tran temple has three main structures: Thien Truong temple, Co
Trach temple, and Co Trach temple.
“Ngu Mon” is located on the
outside of the monument, includes
of five gates – 3 big gates and 2
small gates. It is built in the 2
stacked-floor style. On the “Ngu
Mon”, there are some kangji:
“Chinh Nam Mon” (the main gate
in southern), and “Tran Mieu” (the
shrine worships the Tran Kings.
Through “Ngu Mon”, there
is a carp statue in front of
the lotus lake, because the
original career of Tran
dynasty is fishing. The lake
has an area of 1000 square
meters. And the row of
ancient bricks leads you to
Thien Truong temple.

15. THIEN TRUONG TEMPLE
The Thien Truong temple was built from base on the old Thai shrine and Trung Quang
palace. When the temple had been built, it consisted of three compartments, which
were made from ironwood. To 1733, the temple was extended more with five
compartments. The Thien Truong is located in center of the Tran temple. The temple
consists of “Tien Duong”, “Trung Duong”, “Chinh Tam”, and “Thieu Huong”
“Tien Duong” includes 12 main
columns and 12 small columns
which are located on the lotus-
shapedstone which ranks the
special article style of the Tran
dynasty. In the “Tien Duong”,
there are many altars to worship
the mandarins.
“Trung Duong” is the place to worship
the tablets of 14 the Tran kings.
“Chinh Tam” is a place for worshipping
the 4 “Thuy To” of the Tran dynasty
and their wives in the nave.
“Thieu Huong” (or Kinh Dan) is a place
for putting the altars and “bai vi” of
the important mandarins.

16. CO TRACH TEMPLE
The Co Trach temple lives in the east of the Thien Truong temple. It was built in
1894. According to the book historical materials about Tran Hung Dao, when
remodeling at the Thien Truong temple in 1868, people dug a broken piece of
gravestones which had some words: the old house of Hung Dao prince.
So when this temple was built in
1894 and was inaugurated in
1895, it was named “Co Trach Tu”
(the old house). The Co Trach
temple puts the “bai vi” of Tran
Hung Dao, his family and
shoguns.
“Tien Duong” puts the “bai vi” of
3 Tran Hung Dao’s closest
shoguns.
“Thieu Huong” (“Kinh Dan”)
dedicates Tran Hung Dao statue
and 9 Buddha Statues.
“Trung Duong” dedicates the
“bai vi” of Tran Hung Dao’s
parents and his family.

TRUNG HOA TEMPLE
Trung Hoa temple has been built since 2000. This temple was built on the same
site the Trung Hoa palace where the Tran Kings consulted the supreme
emperors. The temple’s architecture is same the Thien Truong’s.

west of the Thien Truong
temple.
There are 14 bronze statues of
the Tran Kings in “Trung Duong”
and “Chinh Tam”.
“Thieu Huong” is a place for
worshipping the mandarins:
“Gian huu vu” is for worshipping
the military mandarins, “Gian ta
vu” worshipes the literary ones.

19. On the beginning of January in Lunar calendar, the seal opening festival
(“Khai An” festival ) of the Tran temple which is very bustling and this festival
attracts many visitors in Nam Dinh, other provinces and foreign visitors.
“KHAI AN” FESTIVAL
It is necessary to recognize
that the “Khai An” and “Phat
An” festival are the
traditional festival to shows
the people’s respect to
ancestors. This is considered
as form of intangible
culture. The “Phat An”
festival brings the unique
culture in Nam Dinh, so “La
An” can be considered as a
cultural tourism products
here.
The seal opening festival
was a customs from 19th of
the Tran dynasty in “Phu
Thien Truong”.
The festival started at “Gio
Ty” about 11 p.m in 14th
to 1
a.m in 15th
of lunar years.

20. When entering the festival, 7 villages must have the palanquin procession to
Thien Truong temple to worship the Tran Kings. The old wear “Ao Dai” and “Khan
Xep” and villagers gather at the Co Trach temple to pray the holy and take part in
“Khai An” festival.
The ark of seal is put formally on the altar. In
the ark, there are two wooden seals. On the
surface of the small seal, there is engraved
with words “Tran Mieu” and on the surface of
the big sale, there is engraved with the words
“Tran mieu Tu dien” and small line word “Tich
Phuoc Vo Cuong”.
“KHAI AN” FESTIVAL

21. At “Gio Ty” “Chu Te” prays in Co Trach
Temple and asks for palanquin
procession to Thien Truong Temple and
offers incense to worship the “Sky” and
“Land” at the Trung Thien altar. The seal
was a brought to the inner palace and
put in “Ban Cong Dong”. “Chu Te” asked
for opening seal.
After that “Boi Te” puts “Diep” paper
formally in front of Chu Te’s seat. Gong
and drum are played loudly. Chu Te seal
in red ink on “diep” paper there must
take note clearly date, month and year.
Next “Dau son” on “diep” paper in order
that the last word is birth, age, sickness
and death.
Anyone who has the seal, hopes to get a
lucky in work, life without difficulty and
risky.
After the festival, there are many
cultural activities such as wresting,
dragon dance, lion dance and chicken
fighting.

should not miss when you have a chance to visit
Nam Dinh province. - Bà Thi cake keeps the
particular traditional favor.
Nhan cake - Talking about the unique cuisine of
Vietnam, we cannot miss Nhan cake of Nam Dinh
province- the yummy food of Hai Hau yellow sticky-
rice country. The cake brings the name of a kind
fruit. However, it isn’t made from fruits. It is made
from sticky-rice, fresh eggs, sugar, fresh lard.
Nem nắm is a traditional dish of Giao Thuy District,
Nam Dinh province. Because It keeps the particular
traditional favor .This dish is made from roasted rice,
pork, pigskin, Sa Chau fish sauce. This food is usually
accompanied by the fig leaf.

in a light, meat-based broth, chili,
basil, lime, slides of beef.
“Phở bò” is considered as a unique
variation on this dish from Nam
Dinh. It began in the early 20th
century in Dong Xuan commune,
Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh
province. When you taste a bowl of
“Phở bò” with the soft noodles, the
slices of beef, the small spring
onion & dill and bouillon.You will
not be able to forget the particular
