shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).
There are some that say someone else is the “Lion of the Tribe of

interprets itself!

for thou hast created all
things, and for your pleasure
they are and were created”.

His vesture and on His thigh a name written,
KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

An Amazing Time Prophecy
• Luke 24:27
• “And beginning at
Moses and all the
Prophets He expounded
unto them in all the
scriptures the things
concerning himself”.
• Ans. By studying the
prophecies about Him.
12. How can we tell Jesus was the Messiah?
Bible prophecy confirms that
Jesus was the true Messiah.
Over 500 years before Jesus
was born of Mary, Daniel was
given an amazing prophecy
which predicted the exact year
Jesus was to appear as the
Messiah.
Let’s study this amazing
prophecy!
21. 21
13. When did this prophecy begin?
• Daniel 9:24-27
• “24. Seventy weeks are
determined upon thy people
and upon thy holy city, to
finish the transgression and to
make reconciliation for
iniquity, and to bring in
everlasting righteousness, and
to seal up the vision and
prophecy, and to anoint the
most Holy…”
22. 22
14. When was the “Messiah” to
appear?
Daniel 9:25
• “Know therefore and understand that
fromthe going forth of the
commandment to restore and to build
Jerusalemunto the Messiah the Prince
shall be seven weeks and threescore
and two weeks: the street shall be built
again and the wall, even in troublous
times.”
23. 23
• Note:
• Time in prophecy is symbolic. God says in
Ezekiel 4:6, we are to count each day for a
year. Therefore, 69 prophetic weeks equals
483 prophetic days (69 x 7 = 483) or 483
literal years.
• See also Numbers 14:34.
• For the decree see Ezra 4 & 7.
24. 24
15. Did the Messiah Appear 483
Years After the Decree?
• Jesus appeared publicly
as the Messiah exactly
483 years later on the day
of His baptism in A.D. 27.
25. 25
15. Did the Messiah Appear 483
Years After the Decree?
• Note: “Messiah” is Hebrew for
“Anointed” and “Christ” is
Greek for the same. Though
Jesus was the Son of God He
was not the Messiah or
“Anointed One” until He was
anointed by the Holy Ghost at
the time of His baptism, Acts
10:38. Luke 3:1,3 says this
event took place in the 15th
year of Tiberius Caesar, which
(historically) was in 27 A.D.
See also Luke 3:21-23.
26. 26
16. What Did Jesus Preach
After His Baptism?
• Mark 1:14,15
• 14. “Now after that John
was put in prison Jesus
came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of
the Kingdom of God,
15. And saying, the time
is fulfilled, and the
Kingdom of God is at
hand: repent ye, and
believe the gospel”.
27. 27
17. How Much Privileged Time Did
God Promise The Jews?
• DANIEL 9:24
• “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy
people and upon thy holy city to finish the
transgression and to make an end of sins,
and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and
to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to
seal up the vision and prophecy, and to
anoint the most Holy”.
28. 28
18. When was Jesus to be crucified?
Daniel 9:26,27
• Daniel 9:26,27 says Jesus was
to be “cut off” in the middle of
the last, or 70th week. One half
of 7 years is 31/2
years. Add 31/2
• years to the fall of 27 A.D. and
you reach the spring of 31 A.D.,
when Jesus was crucified. Jesus
caused “the sacrifice and the
oblation to cease” because He,
as the Lamb of God, was slain,
and His death on the cross made
animal sacrifices no longer
necessary. (See 1 Cor. 5:7)
In the midst of the week.
29. 29
19.To What Prophecy Did Jesus
Refer in Mark 1:15
• “…The time is
fulfilled and the
Kingdom of God is at
hand…” :
• The sixty-nine weeks
prophecy of
• Daniel 9:25
30. 30
19. To What Prophecy Did Jesus
Refer in Mark 1:15? (cont’d.)
• The prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27. Jesus
began His earthly Ministry with the clear
awareness that the time predicted had
arrived and His ministry of 31/2
years was to
be climaxed by His being “cut off” (John
2:19) or crucified, and that “not for
himself”, but for you and me.
31. 31
20. Was Jesus’ Death For
Everyone?
• 1 John 2:2
• “And He is the
propitiation for our
sins: and not for ours
only, but also for the
sins of the whole
world”.
• Answer: Yes.
32. 32
21. Why Did Jesus Die Upon The
Cross?
• John 3:16
• “For God so loved the
world that He gave
His only begotten Son
that whosoever
believeth in Him
should not perish, but
have everlasting life”.
33. 33
22. Will you accept and serve Jesus as
Lord and Saviour of
your life?
YES! YES!!

Notes de l'éditeur
Story:
The Little Girl’s Christmas Gift
The father unwraps his gift from his little daughter – alas! The box is empty. The father was upset. Don’t you know that you must put something in the box! It is a present, etc. etc.
After he stopped shouting the little girl was pretty crushed and, through her tears she said: “Daddy, the box is not empty … I filled it with my kisses just for you”. Evidently the little girl “threw” a lot of kisses in the box, because she loved her daddy very much.
The father was really shaken up, touched and sorry. He apologized to his little daughter, hugged her and held her close for a long while. He thanked her for her wonderful present.
That father kept that present for many years and, whenever he felt down, out and discouraged; when times were very rough he would open the box and take out one or two of those kisses from his precious little daughter.
Slide # 3:
Both John (Rev. 1:17) and Daniel (Dan. 10:5-9) fell to the ground when they saw Him.
Slide # 4:
Note for Question 4:
In Old Testament days men had to approach God through the priest but Jesus changed that. He made us all priests so we may approach Him directly. Fantastic!
Note for Question 5:
Jesus is referred to as a “Lamb” 26 times in Revelation. As John the Baptist said, Jesus is the Lamb of God which takes away sin. John 1:29. In Old Testament times lambs were sacrificed when people sinned. These lambs represented Jesus, the Lamb of God, who took our place on the cross and died for our sins.
Note:
In chapter 5 the book is not named. However, it has to do with the people who are saved from sin. Therefore we conclude that it is the Lamb’s or Jesus’ Book of Life. Our names are recorded in this important book when we accept Jesus as our Saviour. These books are mentioned also in connection with the judgement. Only Jesus can tell who is saved and who is lost. That is why it is so important for us to put our lives in His hands. He then will represent us in God’s Great Judgement.
