2. Who we are
• Hellenic Open University (HOU) is the only Greek State University that offers
formal and non-formal lifelong education, in both undergraduate and
postgraduate levels, to more than 40.000 students who are dispersed all over
the country (www.eap.gr).
• Its training methodology combines distance learning with principles of adult
education, relies heavily on digital material and virtual meetings and used
online training platforms and tools.
• About 80% of its students are working professionals who seek further education
in order to improve or change their career, thus HOU has established a
permanent connection with the market, professional networks and professional
development agencies. HOU is member of EADTU, EUA, Eurashe and the EU
Digital Skills and Jobs coalition. It applies the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 27001:2013
and ELOT 1429:2008 quality standards.

• Το ΕΑΠ είναι Δημόσιο Πανεπιστήμιο και το μόνο εξειδικευμένο και
διεθνώς πιστοποιημένο ίδρυμα στην ψηφιακή και εξ αποστάσεως
παροχή προπτυχιακής, μεταπτυχιακής εκπαίδευσης και
επιμόρφωσης. Στο ΕΑΠ φοιτούν 40.000 φοιτητές.

We are not developing new platforms but …
• WE create awareness regarding use of TELEWORKING & MOOCs
• present them in a coherent way (e.g. per market sector) and
• provide support & training for SMEs and freelance professionals on how
to exploit them
TeleICCE is promoting the added-value of such platforms to the end-users
through awareness raising, training and implementation of sectoral pilot
projects that will act as proof of concept.

• as a reference & information point regarding the potential of teleworking & the role of MOOCs
• and a strategy for entrepreneurship development and employment enhancement based on

11. Teleicce Methodology
• TeleICCE project follows a methodology that foresees evidence-led
development of main deliverables in order to achieve results that
will match final beneficiaries’ needs in optimum degree.
• To develop TeleICCE services that will be provided through the
Multipurpose centers, the partnership has selected a bottom-up
approach for defining the necessary training & mentoring
methodologies upon which the respective material will be
developed.

το κοινό, που πραγματοποιούνται σε απομακρυσμένες /
αγροτικές τοποθεσίες

Ελλάδα!
• Με το σύνθημα “Ψηφιακές Δεξιότητες για Όλους” η ερευνητική
ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου
συνεργάζεται με φορείς από όλη την Ελλάδα για την προσφορά
εκπαιδευτικών.
• Οι δράσεις στόχο έχουν να προωθήσουν την ιδέα ότι η ανάπτυξη
ψηφιακών δεξιοτήτων είναι προς όφελος του ευρύτερου
κοινωνικού συνόλου.
• Η προσπάθεια αυτή εντάσσεται στην πανευρωπαϊκή εκπαιδευτική
εκστρατεία AllDigitalWeek που λαμβάνει χώρα από το 2010, κατά
τη διάρκεια της οποίας σχολεία, πανεπιστήμια, βιβλιοθήκες και μη
κερδοσκοπικές οργανώσεις προσφέρουν κάθε χρόνο σε 100.000
Ευρωπαίους πολίτες δραστηριότητες με αντικείμενο τον ψηφιακό

• EntreComp is a comprehensive reference framework which
defines and describes entrepreneurship as a transversal key
competence for all citizens
• It is not a curriculum, nor does it prescribe specific learning
• It is flexible guidance that can be taken up and adapted to
different audiences and cultures as well as to meet different
needs

ADMINISTRATION, LEADERSHIP AND STRATEGY
• Providing education opportunities - without the constraints
imposed by location, time, family responsibilities and other
occupations - to people who would otherwise find it difficult to

• Course Module:
• CM extends to an entire academic year - average 32 weeks of study and
awards between 20 and 30 ECTS from 2017, shorter CM are being offered,
lasting on average 14 weeks and awarding 10 to 15 ECTS. A Course Module
Training certificate of EQF level 6 or 7 is awarded to students
• Undergraduate Study Programmes:
• 6 USPs are offered. Each USP is composed of 12 to 15 CMs, lasts 4 academic
years and students have to collect at least 240 ECTS
• Postgraduate Study Programmes:
• 32 PSPs are offered- PSP is composed of 4 CMs and Thesis, for 2 academic
years- students have to collect 120 ECTS- Master’s Degree (MSc, MA) of EQF
level 7 is awarded

• HOU School’s offers a DS programme in state-of-the-art
research topics DS last between 3 -8 academic years
• Short Training Programmes:
• STPs are flexible training offerings, extending from 1week to 1
academic year, on topics that are not covered by CMs, USPs or
PSPs. They are implemented using the teaching methodology
and infrastructure of HOU, after 2016, EADTU principles have
been adopted to the STP design and support-training
