PROGRAM OUTLINE
Prerequisite for Registration
Applicant shall already have successfully completed Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training prior to the date of
application to the e-Zsigma / GSS Master Black Belt Certification program. All applicants will be required to

1. Master Black Belt Self-Assessment
Applicants will be provided with a “self-assessment” diagnostic that they will be required to complete as part
of their registration process. This will help the candidate identify if there are any “gaps” in terms of their
topics and tools knowledge prior to entering the LSSMBB program. This self-assessment will be reviewed by
our MBB panel as part of the intake/registration process and all information will remain confidential. A follow
up assessment will be provided back to the applicant along with any recommendations for study that can be
completed prior to them entering the program.
This program consists of several elements that you will be required to complete;
2. Preparatory Case Study
One month prior to attending in-class training, you will be assigned a case study that will include a rich data set
that you will be required to analyze and provide answers and recommendations based on your findings. You
will submit your completed case study to the Program office no later than 10 days prior to the start of your in-
class training.

accepted if they are determined by the e-Zsigma / GSS MBB review panel to be sufficiently large in scope
and complexity.

Six Sigma Black Belt Refresher (Optional)
The LSSMBB has a strong analytical component and we recognize that many of our candidates may have
completed their formal Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma training several years ago. Although active in leading
improvement projects, many of the tools learned may have gone unused due to the nature of the projects and
support work undertaken. MBB students have the option of completing a “refresher” course prior to
attending the in-class training. A standard refresher program has been created with this purpose in mind.
BB Analytical Tools Refresher Course (On-line, Quality Campus)
Course Fee: $595 + applicable taxes
Customized Refresher Courses (Optional)
Subject to the outcome of your self-assessment, you can discuss with your assigned e-Zsigma MBB coach the
possibility of our Program Office constructing a customized “refresher” course that includes on-line
(eLearning) modules carefully selected from our Lean Six Sigma Quality Campus.
