My current research focuses on the evolutionary ecology and the conservation of bee-flower interactions using both crops and wild flowers.
More specifically, I am developing analyses of the spatial, functional and phylogenetic community structure of wild bees and other flower-visiting insects in agroecosystems and semi-natural areas.
The development of urban agriculture initiatives is also central to my recent research - we are developing surveys on the environmental value of urban vegetable gardens and linking this with the motivations and socio-economics of practitioners.
