2. They can make their voice heard
◦ Members in good standing have a voice in the church of the Lord
◦ They should be heard.
◦ Their questions, observations, suggestions, complaints, should be respected.
◦ They can REPORT. 1 Cor. 5:1,
◦ They can complain. Acts 6:1,
3. They can vote
◦ They may vote on anything that is put to a vote.
◦ They can choose candidates to be deacons. Acts 6:5
◦ They can approve as to which men to send. Acts 15:22

4. They get help as the church see the need
◦ It is the Lord who shows the elders and members the need of a brother, a
teacher, or a church.
◦ It is not the obligation of the church to be a charitable organization, social
welfare club, or give out loans or dole outs.
◦ It is not proper that non-members or even members demand help.
◦ The Spirit through the church is the one who opens the eyes and hearts of the
brethren toward the need.
5. Instances of helping the poor saints
◦ Ministering to the saints. 2 Cor. 8:4
◦ Contribution for the poor saints. Rom. 15:26
◦ Sending relief in times of calamity. Acts 11:29
6. They are informed
◦ They receive our love and prayers even as the Father loved them.
◦ They should be informed what is going on in their church.
◦ They should be visited, especially when we haven’t seen them for a long time.
◦ They should be informed and included in every Lord’s supper.
◦ They should be informed when someone complains against them.
7. What we expect from church
members

8. MEMBERS OF B.C.A. are expected to do the
following:
◦ Read and follow Christ as He has commanded us in the scriptures
◦ Abide by the agreements of the members of the church.
◦ Protect his testimony so that he is not evil spoken of
◦ Give of his substance, time and resources to edify the church
◦ Love the brethren
9. 1Peter 2:1-25
◦ (1) lay aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
◦ (2) desire the sincere milk of the word,
◦ (11) abstain from fleshly lusts
◦ (12) be honest among (Gentiles = outsiders)
◦ (13) be law abiding citizens of your country (read)
◦ (17) Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
◦ (18) Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to
the froward.
