Wordy Slides
• Next few slides are contain a lot of text
rather than images in previous two
presentations.
• Using wordy slides is fine if just using
PowerPoint to communicate rather than
present, ie instead of a report
• Managers sometimes prefer just the main
points which PowerPoint is good at
Need to know more about a topic? Highlight and paste
word into search engine. Add the word powerpoint if
you want a slide show in the results.

• Consider:
• Timing - how long, how many slides per minute?
• Content - text, images, tables, charts
• Meaning - what action should the audience take
afterwards?
• Organisation of information - how will it flow
• Audience needs - existing knowledge
• Location - presentation of for reading?
• Context - other presentations?

• View and reorder slides - drag and drop
• Rehearse timing and effects - use
rehearse function
• Set up and amend slide show settings
• Print slides, handouts, speaker notes
