Definition:
is an active part of conscious, having
force of attraction.
Attention id the process of getting an object
of thought clearly before the mind (ross)

6. Non-volitional/involuntary
attention
• Attention which is not aroused by will.
• Unwilling attention.
• Attention without any conscious efforts
e.g. you are preparing for exam but there is
a marriage ceremony in your neighbor
house and they are playing loud music.
Crying baby and attention of mother.

7. Types of involuntary attention
Enforced involuntary attention:
the attention which is grab
through instinct(unlearned behavior cry,
fear, curiosity)
•Some one is moving from here we would
curious to know.
•Some one is crying.

8. Involuntary attention
Spontaneous involuntary attention:
It is produced by sentiments or by my
interest.
It involve personal interest.
e.g. a rabbit jump from here.

• Attention which is aroused by will
• Willfully attention.
e.g. she trying to understand math's
problem.
Concentration on exam while writing.

10. Volitional attention
Implicit volitional attention:
•The act which is introduced by motive such
as reward and punishment
•Teacher has assigned task and showed
reward

Explicit attention:
It is obtained by introducing
repeated will of act.
Repeated efforts are made to obtain the
types of attention.
