3. How to Buy Essential Oils
Choose 100% pure essential oils, these are not
the same thing:
nature identical oil
fragrance oil
perfume oil
Select essential oils in dark-colored glass
bottles that protect them from light.
Avoid plastic bottles that can degrade oil
quality.
Look for certified organic essential oils.
4. Peppermint Oil
One of the few essential oils that is in commercial products

Relieves itching
Soothe nausea
Relaxes overworked muscles
Breaks up congestion
Increasing concentration.
Suggested Uses
Add peppermint oil drops to a bowl of hot water. Place a towel
over head to breathe in the steam to fight congestion relieve a
sore throat, or quell a headache.
Fill a small , clean spray bottle with 4 ounces of distilled water.
Add a few drops of peppermint oil. Shake before each use.
Spray around you to lift your mood and increase
concentration…especially good when you have a low during
an afternoon. Remember to label your bottle.

Suggested Uses
Add drops of lavender oil to vinegar to sanitize your
floors while leaving a great smell.
Fill a small , clean spray bottle with 4 ounces of distilled
water. Add a few drops of lavender oil. Shake before
each use. Spray around your linens for a soothing fresh
scent that relaxes muscles and improves sleep.

Suggested Uses
Inhale straight from the bottle especially before and
after meditation or a nap.
Fill a small , clean spray bottle with 4 ounces of distilled
water. Add several drops of cedarwood oil. Shake
before each use. When venturing outside, spray your
clothing and around the area you plan to sit to repel
mosquitos, ticks, and other insects. Remember to label

it was originally sold

Suggested Uses
Use drops of bergamot oil in your sitz bath to help prevent
spread of urinary tract infection into the bladder.
Apply bergamot oil to skin conditions such as ulcers, cold sores,
and fungal infections to speed healing.

8. Calendula Oil
Extracted from marigold flowers

Moisturizing
Anti-inflammatory for inflamed or itchy skin conditions
and sore muscles
Anti-septic
Anti-fungal
Suggested Uses
Add several drops of calendula oil to a small vial of
organic olive oil for a soothing skin treatment or
massage oil for aching muscles.
Melt a 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, then add several
drops of calendula oil. Pour into a small container with a
lid for use on minor scrapes, insect bites, and other skin
irritations.
