In February 2010 a small group in New Mexico met Virtually to see if they could bring together Volunteers to assist Emergency Management. Crisis Camps, Bar Camps, Ignite, TEDx forums were already being used but within the State nothing had been formalized. Including the tech community, volunteers, and engaging citizenry was discussed. By Fall with emerging events and more momentum it became more formalized and a discussion ensued. We're seeing now that, in the wireless world, the ability for those providers to get up and running...
