What are the life
cycles of some
?animals
the mother eagle lays an egg.-1
2-the eaglet, a young eagle,
develops inside the egg.
.3-The eaglet hatches when it is ready
When the bear cub is born, it grows
bigger . and develop into adults
Life cycle of
a butterfly
Egg- 1
.A butterfly begins life In a tiny egg
larva- 2
A butterfly larva is called a caterpillar.-
- It hatches from an egg.
-the caterpillar sheds its skin as it grows.
- it has a worm-like body.
.- it must eat a lot to grow and store energy
pupa- 3
a butterfly pupa is protected inside a -
hard covering called chrysalis.
-the insect grows wings and long legs.
.-it does not eat, and it hardly moves
adult Butterfly -4
the adult butterfly breaks out of -
the chrysalis.
-It has wings,long legs,and antennae.
-It flies away to find a mate.
-It will lay eggs if it is a female,
then it will die.
-some of them feed on the nectar or
. flowers
Life cycle
of a frog
Some animals change form as they
develop.
Metamorphosis is the change in
form during . an animal`s life cycle
eggs- 1
Mother frogs lay hundreds of eggs -
in the water.
- the eggs are surrounded by a
. jellylike material
tadpole-2
A tadpole hatches from frog egg.-
-Tadpole Lives underwater and
breathes with gills.
.-It has a tail for swimming
growing tadpole-3
as it grows, it develops body -
parts for living on land.
-it grows leg. The tail disappears.
.- Lungs replace gills
Adult frog- 4
The adult frog lives on land and -
in water.
- It uses its leg to hop.
.-it lays eggs in water
Life cycle
of a
Mammal
Young mammals do not change -
very much as they become
adults.
-They look like their parents
. when they are born
egg- 1
Young bobcats develop from -
eggs inside the mother`s body.
-They are born when they are
ready to live outside the
. mother`s body
Kitten-2
Young bobcats are called kittens. -
-The mother bobcat`s body makes
milk.
.-The kittens drink the milk
growth-3
The young bobcats grow bigger. -
-The mother bobcat takes care
.of them
adult-4
when the young bobcats grow to -
.be adult, they can reproduce
Most insects live for less than
one year. Other animals live
much longer.
Life span is the length of an
.animal`s life
