Game time is forfeit time – please ensure you have enough rostered
players present prior to the start of your scheduled contest.
Only a team’s captain may confer with the officials.
All players must present their valid Northeastern University issued
Husky Card in order to play.
All roster management is done via the IMLeagues platform.
After the season’s schedule is published, regular season games will
not be rescheduled at a team’s request.

EETING
At the beginning of a game, 4 balls are lined up along the
center line
Players begin on their respective end lines
Extra players must stay along the walls and may not enter the
court at any time
When the referee blows the whistle to begin the game, players
run up to grab a ball
If a player steps over the center line, they are OUT
Players may not throw balls until after the referee blows a
second whistle at the 10-second mark
7. OUTS

EETING
A player will be called OUT when:
They are contacted by a ball that has not hit the ground, AND
that ball hits the ground afterwards
This includes contacting another player first, in which case,
both players are out
A player on the opposing team catches a thrown ball in the air
They hit an opposing player in the head with the ball
They duck their head into a thrown ball
9. OUTS

A player is NOT out when:
The ball bounces on the ground, then hits the player
The ball is deflected off them, and caught by a teammate
(thrower is then out)
The ball hits them in the head (unless they duck into the throw)

Catching the Ball:
When a player catches a thrown ball in mid air, the thrower is
OUT
If players on the catching team are OUT, 1 may return to
play or “regenerate”
When a player catches a thrown ball after it bounces on the
ground or off of any walls, the thrower is NOT OUT
When a player catches a ball that first bounced off a teammate
and has not yet contacted the ground, the thrower is OUT
In this situation, even though the ball was caught before
the ball hits the ground, an OUT player on the catching
team will NOT “regenerate” since they “saved” their
teammate
12. Holding the Ball
M
ANAGER
'
S
M
EETING
A player may only hold the ball for 15 seconds, after
which they must throw the ball
If they do not throw the ball within 15 seconds, they are OUT
for delay of game
Players may use the ball to defend themselves or deflect
throws
If the ball is deflected and a teammate catches it, the thrower is
OUT
If the player drops the ball they attempted to use to deflect
another ball, the player is OUT
If the ball is deflected into the player, they are OUT
13. Retrieving the Ball Out of Bounds
