a) Learn about the various basic components including:
cooling fan, keyboard, RAM, graphics & sound cards,
etc. (and their corresponding purpose to the larger
assembly of the computer)

a) Understand the different types of malware & infected
files that should be targeted and removed, and which
major programs can get rid of these harmful files
(includes Trojan horses, cookies, PUP’s, malware, etc.)

1) 4 Basic Troubleshoo1ng
a) Deals with the more in‐depth analysis of the opera5ng
system and its issues; can include problems with drivers,
“Open With” prompts, major applica5on errors, etc.)

1) 5 Opera1ng System
a)Could include: Windows, Mac OSX, Linux & this would
teach them how to understand the user interface of
each opera5ng system; also includes the loca5on of the
major drives & how to find files in each (the “flowchart”
of searching through the system’s files)
17. 2 - Computer Support
1) 6 Boot Processing
a)Includes knowledge of how to run your computer in
“Safe Mode” from normal startup, learning how to
interrupt normal startup & navigate the recovery
program for hardware & the hard drive
