3. What is Fraternity?
Fraternity is another word for brotherhood.
The word “Fraternity” also refers to
friendship and mutual support between
people who feel they are closely linked to
each other.
4. History of Fraternity
The first greek letter organization was Phi Beta Kappa, which
founded on December 5, 1776 at the College of William and Mary
in Williamsburg, VA, the second oldest institution of higher
learning in Amerca (Harvard is the oldest).
Some people that are engaged in learning had started to create
their own organization on their campus to talk about the current
issues in the nineteenth Century.
Necessarily, in these organizations, the person who is engaged in
learning started to create intensely relations and hang on one
another more than just a rationally interesting chat or discussion.
5. Why are they Joining?
* Social
* Networking
* They don’t want to be left behind
* The Opposite sex
* Memories that last a lifetime
6. Why not?
* Death
* Alcohol
* Social exclusivity
* Academic Consequences
