HIV/AIDS is a very dangerous disease that can quickly infect you. HIV stands for Human immunodeficiency virus. And AIDS stands for Acquired immune deficiency syndrome. When you first get HIVs it takes over your cells that protect you. Also it can be quickly given to other people and spread easily.
HIV/AIDS can take over or infect your immune system’s t-cells and CD4 cells which are the cells that fight off diseases and without these cells you become prone to any disease that you come in contact with
With HIV you first experience fevers and headaches, sore throat, rashes, and lack of energy or weight loss. If you catch these things early on you can prevent yourself from having AIDS.
You can get HIV in many different way. It is transmitted sexually, it is given to babies through breast feeding or if the mother is infected then the child will probably be born with it also. You can become infected by sharing injection needles with someone who has HIV. But it cannot be transmitted by contact with the person
You can control HIV/AIDS by keeping it dormant which means inactive. But it is very hard to control because sometimes the cells have a mutation which makes it drug resistant or unaffected by a drug
Even though there is no cure for HIV/AIDS right now you can get treatment to prevent yourself from getting AIDS
