There are 3 monitoring sites with 4 fixed transects each in the Atoll to collect data on reef conditions. The process involves locating reference points on the reef, laying out transect lines, then swimmers record data while following the transect lines while other record environmental conditions from the boat. Ideally all sites would be surveyed each week but completing one site is a good outcome.
