The main topic to focus on is the effects of the environment on child development. In the last project, it was identified that the environment has a direct effect on the development of children; additionally, there is scientific data to support the fact. Therefore, the environment in which a child develops also influences their learning attributes. This can be from the setting at school, home or interactions with other students and/or children. Overall, the areas where a child spends a considerable amount of time might either have a negative or positive side effect. This message is targeted to parents and teaching staff as they are responsible for the general development of children and students respectively. By enlightening them on this fact, changes can be made for the betterment of the development of the children. For example, assistance with their holiday homework, promoting ethical behaviors and finally, promoting social activities. With these reasons forming the base of the argument, they can be further modified and implemented in various activities to better the development of children and students from both perspectives.
The best medium that can be used for this enlightenment is the combination of video, audio and still images. This will allow for the use of data and information collected from the internet on the topic. By focusing on how the issue can be addressed with examples and plausible outcomes visually registered change can be affected almost immediately. However, this will all be determined by how the audience will perceive the material. Overall, the message will focus on the development of a conducive environment for children and how it can be used to improve their daily lives. I will be the source of the material and the medium used will be a combination of video, audio and still images with the genre being a short video/movie.
The first project was a series of vignettes on my school life and cheating. It also demonstrated how the activities of my classmates affected my perception as well as my limitations. The second project was based on how Kilbourne’s criticism and the outlook of women. By analyzing advertisements that showed beautiful women and how it created an image of the perfect housewife or woman. The topics have been instrumental in my academic career and have motivated my intentions to help my classmates. Therefore, my opinions have not changed but I have become more concern about the issues. They have a direct effect in my life both at school and home as they sculpture my appreciation of society and the education system. The most important aspects of the topics are mainly ethics and the effects specific environments have on development. The teaching staff, parents and other students need deeper comprehension of the topics. This is mainly because they are the main stakeholders when the matter is being addressed.

Welcome for the presentation, I will be your host for today’s
event.
A “welcome” banner will pop up at the top region of the display
screen. My photo on the lower left side on the display screen.
2
I will take you through a series of discussions touching on the
effects of the environment on child development.
Animated section of the presentation that is synchronized to

3
Before I begin our core business for the presentation, allow me
to take you through my experience as a teenager and how the
environment affected my development. The kind of
environment where a child is placed in influences the kind of
behavioral traits he or she will adapt to.
Photo collage of personal memories depicting various
behavioral traits in different environments.
4
The kind of environment that I was subjected to by educators
and family significantly influenced my development. The
character I portray today is largely a reflection of the
environment I was subject to during my childhood.
Personal photo collage. A combination of childhood photos
representing gradual growth and development over time.
5
The environment has a direct effect on the development of a
child, (Levitt & Eagleson, 2018). The effect can either be
positive or negative. As such, pre-determining the environment
that children are subjected to can significantly promote the
desired development.
A short-animated video of children in different types of
environments.
A photo of a smiling child.
A photo of a crying child.
6
The environment can significantly affect the learning process
for children. Children are more active and responsive to
learning activities in friendly environments, (Farrell, 2018). An
unfavorable environment, for instance, extreme cold
environments can reduce a child’s concentration thus affecting
his or her learning process.
Children’s collage. (Photos captured in different classroom
settings)
A short video of children in different kinds of environments.
4. 7
The environment harms a child’s development when it
compromises the child’s comfort. For instance, a child subject
to a violent environment can grow up with fear or being very
violent. The development of a child depends on the environment
they grow up in. An unfit environment is one that does not
promote proper child development.
More photos of scared/crying children.
8
Designing or analyzing the environment created for a child can
significantly promote his/her growth. Children, during their
development stages of life, should be brought up in friendly
environments where they can express themselves effectively. An
appropriate environment is one that allows a child to express his
childish nature without fear, (Pluess, 2015).
Combination of a collage and short video of children in parks
and playrooms. (The photos portray a healthy environment to
promote child development).
9
Parents and the teaching staff should collaborate and ensure
children are brought up in the most appropriate environment.
The environment in which children spend most of their time
influences their development, (McLaughlin, et.al., 2015)
Teaching staff can promote child development by initiating
appropriate activities during school hours. At home, parents can
create a favorable environment by taking the time to guide
children in their homework, as well as captivating good morals
through family events.

10
Creating a conducive environment for children can significantly
promote their development. Research conducted over the years
supports that the environment has a significant impact on child
development. Subjecting a child to a conducive environment
5. involves providing all relevant accessories that promote growth
and development, (Britto, et.al., 2017). The future of a child can
be shaped based on the kind of environment created for the
child during his/her development stage.

Influence of Rhetorical Situation on Multimedia Creation
Purpose and Audience
The purpose of creating a multimedia presentation is to
persuade enhance persuasion of the target audience. The target
audience for the multimedia presentation comprises of parents
and educators. These are the main stakeholders who play a huge
role in child development. The multimedia presentation is
intended to persuade and convince them that the environment
has a significant impact on child development. A rhetorical
situation, in this case, refers to the ability to analyze the
audience and develop the most appropriate communication
medium that will effectively persuade the target audience,
(Turnbull, 2017). The target audience, in this case, comprises of
teachers and parents. These are the two groups of people who
spend more time with children. As such, they are the people
responsible for creating a conducive environment that promotes
child development. The environment in which children spend
most of their time influences their development, (Farrell, 2018).
In most cases, a parent or an educator will be present in the
same environment.
Genre, Stance, and Media
The use of short video clips and still images promotes effective
communication. A well-animated video to support the speaker
can easily trigger strong emotions among the audience,
(O'Brien, 2017). Using short videos and still images will
effectively enhance the effectiveness of the multimedia
presentation. Furthermore, people tend to be more attentive to
visual display compared to other genres. Also, it is easy to
remember what you see during a presentation; the use of short
7. videos and photos will create lasting impressions among the
audience. The multimedia presentation is designed as a
PowerPoint file. Each Slide is designed to relay one main topic
and an accompanying visual media to support the argument.
